"She is absolutely precious." a woman of high nobility spoke softly to the wiggling bundle in her arms. "Of course she is Luna, she is my life. She is the very essence that I go on. If it were not for her I'd...." A light angelic voice spoke softly. Luna glanced up at the woman's face and saw a brief but dark shadow enter her crystal eyes.
The young babe shifted uncomfortably in the young woman's arms and began to whimper. "Aye me, my queen I believe that it is feeding time for this hungry babe." Luna chuckled as she handed the young infant to its mother. The silver-headed woman smiled faintly and received her child. "Luna, my trusted advisor and dearest friend how I wish you would release your formalities, it is only you and I."
Luna smiled gravely and replied, "Of course dearest Selenity." Selenity pulled the white silk fabric down of her gown that covered her slightly bulged breast and let the hunger infant find the nipple in slight amusement. "She looks so much like you Selenity but I see her father coming out in her hair." Luna uttered while stroking the child's smooth blond fuzz.
Selenity stared hard at her newborn and almost broke down.

"Do you have to leave Seren?" Selenity asked quietly as she fumbled with her fingers. "My dearest sweet Selene, I will be back. All I have to do is negotiate with some of the King's officials. Selene, you know as well as I do that I have to handle this trading issue immediately or it could blow up into something much bigger." Seren said soothingly to Selenity as he took her in his arms comfortingly.
"But what of all those rebelling groups that have been reported. There are rumors that they are regrouping together. You know that they hate Lunar beings let alone the king of them." Selenity spoke determinedly. Seren let out a low deep chuckle as if amused by some child. "My sweet love there is nothing to worry about I can defend for myself you know.
Besides I have my own generals to protect me. I'm setting out tomorrow my love this is going to be our last night together for at least 4 months. I just want to make sweet love to you 'til the early dawn. I want to get in drunken state off of my dear sweet Selene."
Seren finished with a long and passionate kiss to an already blushing Selene. As Selenity and Seren danced to the rhythm of their lovemaking, Selenity sat up on their bed and gazed in Seren's baby blue eyes. "Seren, my only love, my only source of life, and only reason for breathing. Promise me that you will return to me." Selenity panted loudly and with urgency.
Seren said nothing. He simply looked up at his beautiful and naked Moon Goddess and kissed her deeply.

Selenity vision began to blur as tears surfaced in her eyes. She blinked the tears away but could see that Luna knew her too well. "Oh Serenity, please forgive me. How silly of me to not watch my tongue." Luna apologized. Serenity smiled despite her sadness at her good friend. "It's quite alright Luna. It's not just about Seren. Thinking of Serenity's future has made me realize that I am Queen and I must undergo things such as sacrifice in order to overcome and become stronger. But even so, it is something that saddens me Luna." Selenity spoke while now gazing at her sleeping daughter.
"And what's that Selenity." Luna questioned. Selenity touched Serenity's soft cheek tenderly. " I must pass the burden down to her."
