Set in the current time, Elsewhere is the story of what happens after Sunnydale blows up, from my own point of view. There's only a Preview up right this second, I plan on getting the first chapter up quite soon. Rate nicely, and I'll return the favor.

Author's Note: Okay, so it changed, RATHER drastically. I was told to do the first chapter from a more… origin oriented standpoint because having it from the standpoint I had it at really didn't work, though the more flashback oriented standpoint is what I thought was rather exciting… however, when three of your betas say 'WTF,' you have to listen, right?

Buffy the Vampire Slayer and all characters involved (Mainly Xander, Willow, Kennedy, Tara, and Drusilla) belong to Joss Whedon and that crew. Cassandra Thompson and Mitsuko Matsui are characters of my creation. Siegfried Valentine is a character creation of Edit 13. Oh, and for the record, I pulled the Slayer Handbook info stuff from other sites.

Characters Involved in the Prologue : Chronicler

Prologue

In every generation, there is a Chosen One. She alone will stand against the vampires, the demons, and the forces of darkness. She is the Slayer.

Into every generation, a Slayer is born. One girl in all the world, a Chosen One, one with the strength and skill to hunt the vampires, to stop the spread of their evil ways, to cease their destructive manners, to prevent the end of the world. When one Slayer dies, the next one is called.

The Slayer is prepared by the Watcher. One-on-one training allows the Slayer to focus on and fully respect her sacred duty.

Most of this rule has been modified slightly. Anyone who could've possibly been a Slayer at any point in her life is now a Slayer, due to one solitary witch. This witch was affiliated with the oldest Slayer; the pure hearted Chosen One, who gave up her life, twice, to save the world. There are many other seperative degrees that go along with this, but, well, they aren't relevant with the story I am about to tell.

Who am I?

I am a demon known by many names. My most common name is The Chronicler, and, as my name suggests, I chronicle the adventures of many heroes. This story is one that I have chronicled over time, ever since the human year 1996, when the pure hearted Chosen One came to the town of Sunnydale. The story was first chronicled when this Chosen One met with the Wiccan girl, Willow Rosenberg. Willow would become the woman who became Watcher to a girl named Cassandra Thompson, who, at the time, was first introduced to Penfield, New York, as a small, 8 year old girl.

However, the tale I am about to tell takes place 9 years later, after the two have met. Friendships aren't established when the story begins, but they will be, as this legend continues.
