Well, this is my first fanfic. It's kind of lame, but I tried. This is a what if fanfic, mostly because I find that the more innocent or less likely a character is to go insane or go bad, the more evil or completely senile the fans make them.
They don't need you, they never needed you. See how they keep fighting while you lay here dying? They don't care, because they know your not worth it. You are nothing.
Rev let those four sentences replay in his head for about the millionth time that night. On any other day he would have shaken those words off, come to the conclusion that he moved so fast the others could never keep tabs on him, but today was not any other day. Today was different because Rev had just killed someone, and regretted nothing.
Those fours sentences had just made Rev so mad, so angry, he just had wanted to make those words, those lies, stop. There also lied the problem, were they actually lies?
In the moment that Mastermind had said those words everything she had said just looked so true, and it infuriated Rev. It made him question his position on the team. Sure, there had been plenty of good times, but there were also equal amounts, if not more, bad times. It made Rev think of how he was used as bait for the most dangerous of missions, picked on for his innocent mindset, and most of all it made him think of how he was pretty much was the vent for the rest of the team.
So was it really Rev's fault when all of his anger finally made an appearance, that it was taken out on Mastermind? No, he didn't think so. It was her fault that she had provoked the feelings in the first place.
So when that crashing sound distracted her for a spilt second, Rev did what was natural. He reacted, because that spilt second was all he needed. By the time Mastermind had turned back around Rev had gotten up, drawn his gun, and had it pointed it at her overgrown head.
Rev also remembered how he felt looking at Mastermind. He felt complete triumph, and a twisted happiness at seeing her horror and fear that he had actually gotten up from this "fatal wound" and was now pointing a gun at her head. Her face had given him such demented pleasure that a psychotic smile couldn't stop itself from making its way across his face as he said, "Who's nothing now?" and delivered that fatal shot.
Rev had seen the faces of the others afterwards, shock and fear. It had given Rev a sense of accomplishment that the others were finally looking at him in a different light, even if that light was complete and utter fear.
They had barely been around him all night. They had barely let Tech bandage his wounds. Ace decided it would be best to leave Rev alone in the med-lab saying it would be best if he had time to "cool down", but Rev knew better. He had scared the crap out of the team, and they really didn't want to be his next target.
Mastermind's last "words of wisdom" ran through his mind again. Rev let out an indignant huff. The others didn't need him, huh? Well he didn't need them either. He looked at the gun he had killed with not yet an hour ago, and picked it up. The question now was, what was he was going to do with them?
There you go, my first fanfic. I hope you enjoyed. No flames please, like I said this is a "what if" fanfic. Reviews are greatly appreciated.
