Changing Emotions

It was the middle of the mourning on a Monday when Samantha was about to get done with summer school for the day. Tom, Chris and Elliot wait for her to get out. Once she got out she saw them and rushed right to them. "Thanks for being here." Then they started walking to her house. Once they got to her house Tom had to go and take care of some things. After he left Chris put Elliot to bed and then Samantha and Chris started to talk. While they were talking Samantha started to feel this vibe between them and she started to like him. "He I have a question, if I was single would you date me?"

"Yes I would."

That evening Samantha called Tom. "Hey, I need to talk to you. It is important."

"Ok, what is it? Is everything fine?"

"Yes everything is fine I just think the thing between me and you aren't working out. I am so sorry."

"Oh I see. I guess I will talk to you later."

"Please don't-." Samantha then hung up feeing really bad. She couldn't believe what she has done. Just then her guilt went away as Chris walks in the room. "Hey Chris I am single. Tom and I just didn't work out."

"I bet it did, but ok do you want to go out?"

"Sure, when do you want to go?"

"I guess this Friday."

Friday came and Samantha and Chris went to go see a movie while they left Amanda to take care of it. "Was it ok to leave Elliot with your mom," asked Chris.

"My mom didn't mind."
"Ok, I hope she didn't mind."

Once the date was over Samantha went back to her house and so did Chris. "Will it be ok if I slept over here tonight? My parents are out of town and I don't want to go home."

"I don't think my mom will care."

"Ok, have you heard anything about your dad? Do you know where he went?"

"Please don't mention that backstabber, little piece of garbage to me."

"I am sorry. I didn't mean to say it."

"Thank you, and besides no I don't know where he went and I hope he never comes here again. He doesn't belong here since he left my mom and me. He hasn't even seen his own grandson." Samantha was now mad. She wanted to yell but she didn't want to wake Elliot.

Finally after about an hour she calmed down and sat next to Elliot as he slept through the night, and would eventually wake up.
