"You know I hate to ask this of you, and I wouldn't if another way was possible." The young girl before the aged wizard nodded ,with a small frown tugging at her face.
"I understand completely sir," She glanced up at him through a heavy lining of eye lashes. At the sight of sorrow dancing in his pale blue eyes, she sighed.
" Professor, I don't blame you really. It's all in the genes, damn these amazing genes." She laughed through the pain like always, sliding that overly practiced smile wide on her face. Glancing at him she knew he didn't believe her.
"And at such a young age, Ms. Landon. I wish we could wait a few more years," He sighed gently laying his hand on her shoulder. She reached up and patted her's along his wrinkled skin.
"War wait's for no one sir, War takes what it wants, and the only thing we can do is look for the good. Find love and happiness, while everything else is crumbling around us." She smiled gently.
He smiled down at her, pride shining in his eyes. He slid his hand down from her shoulder, letting it fall back at his side. She sighed, glad that she had the time to be a pupil of great man that stood before her.
"Ya know I'll miss you Dumbles." She smiled, at him sweetly earning a soft chuckle.
"I've think you have earned the right to call me Albus, dear." She launced herself into his arms, taking him slightly by suprise before he quickly hugged her back.
"You'll always be Dumbles to me," she stopped feeling the tears well up in her eyes. " And sir...will you tell them that I died?" She cast her eyes down, trying to fight the tears back at the thought of the seven people that meant the world to her.
He looked down at her, a curious expression playing across his features. Feeling his look upon her.
"I promised, Sir. I promised I wouldn't" I lied.
