Kakashi had sensed that strange chakra long before the redhead made himself known to the Uchiha. He knew it wasn't because of Sasuke that Gaara had come but while the brunette was still standing in the 20 feet separating them, he kept his knowledge to himself.
The redhead was good at hiding his intentions, threatening the Uchiha, but his eyes remained firmly locked on Kakashi's face. The jounin almost laughed at his obviousness. The genin was obviously still too young to completely mask his intentions, something Kakashi found highly interesting.
When Gaara's green eyes narrowed, violence surging in his expression, Kakashi stepped forward. He knew that even with his Sharingan and the years of experience with it, Gaara was still a formidable adversary.
"Go home, Sasuke. We'll continue this later," Kakashi ordered as calmly as was expected of him.
The redheaded genin watched curiously as Sasuke turned and walked back down the hill. The brunette was long out of hearing distance before the Sand shinobi turned back to Kakashi.
"You shouldn't have come here," Kakashi muttered, receiving a small shrug in return. "But I know why you did."
Gaara lifted an invisible eyebrow.
The silver-haired man flashed him a peace sign. "You think I'm sexy!"
If he'd been the type to let his emotions show, Gaara would have laughed in the older man's face. As it was he just stood there passively while Kakashi leered at him.
