A/N: Hello, I just wanted to say that this is the first time I've written something and actually posted it on the internet. I hope you guys like it. Enjoy! ^_^

Disclaimer: I don't own Soul Calibur, if I did Tira would be living with me instead of running around in Europe. X3

Relapse

It was a sunny day and Tira was walking peacefully through the streets of the village where she was currently living. Currently.

"I can't believe how much time has passed since the last time we've killed someone!" Tira thought. "Yes, it's making my hands itch." She told herself as she kept walking while enjoying the way the sun warmed her skin. It seems other people had the same idea as there were plenty of folk roaming the streets.

Tira had finally become accustomed to having regular people (Read: prey.) around her. Well, at least now she could control the urge to rip them apart on the spot. But that doesn't mean she wouldn't entertain herself with the idea of doing so. Not at all. And even though the villagers were staring at her because of her "unusual" appearance, Tira could still remain calm.

Tira was proud of herself.

After a while when Tira became bored of the fact that the sun was her only source of entertainment, she started to amuse herself: "We could easily drag him into a dark alleyway and throttle him slowly. Or we could stomp on her head until she bleeds. We haven't had blood on our hands for so long. Can you imagine how good it would feel?" her darker side hissed. She couldn't help but smile when visualizing what her darker side was trying to convince her to do.

Tira wanted to kill. Tira needed to kill. She needed the rush of taking someone's life badly. Even more so now after a while of... abstinence. But what she wanted even more than to kill was to be normal and normal people didn't kill for their personal enjoyment.

So she told herself this: "No! We can't kill. Not anymore." Tira thought while trying to fend off the feelings those murderous thoughts gave her. "What! Why not?! Surely you're not trying to please them by not killing anymore? Right?!" "Y-you shouldn't talk about them like that. They're nice enough to give us a chance to be normal... Don't you want to be normal too?" Tira's cheerier side replied. "Hmmpf." was all she got as an answer.

When Tira thought about it, only thinking about killing someone but not actually going through with it was a lot like cutting back on the amount of alcoholic beverages one would consume to an alcoholic who tried to stop drinking.

When Tira thought about it like this, she became very proud of herself.

As satisfied as Tira was by winning that argument, she still couldn't shake off the feeling something bad was going to happen. Strangely, this feeling grew as she approached the house she had called home for the last couple of weeks.

"Yup, yup. Dinner's almost done and boy does it smell de-licious!"

Tira giggled as she quickened her pace and arrived at her destination in a matter of seconds. She only had to knock twice before the door was opened. The lovely smell of freshly cooked food hypnotized Tira and made her oblivious to what the man in front of her was saying.

Finally Tira shook her head and focused on what the man of the house was asking her and felt her heart sink and her hands itch as he repeated his question once more: "Tira, did you open the bird cage?"
