A/N- Hey, I'm away from my laptop, which has my stories on it, but I felt like writing. So here is a quick Doctor/Rose-ish story! But I'm starting a story after I finish one of my big ones, so look out for that.

Also, here is a playlist of songs that remind me of the pairing/ songs I listened to while writing this. I don't own any of them.

Death Cab For Cutie- We Looked Like Giants, Title and Registration, A Lack Of Colour, I Will Follow You Into the Dark

Paramore- All I Wanted

Bright Eyes- Lover I Don't Have To Love

The Doctor stands in the main room of the TARDIS, standing and staring at a picture of her. Rose Tyler, the girl he still loves. The girl who's life was ruined because of him. Well, not ruined. Just messed up. He wonders what she's doing now. Thinking about him?

He wonders if they some how reunite, would she still like him? His new self? She certaintly didn't like his 10th self at first. Would they still get along?

He doesn't remember when or where it was taken, or how he has it. Rose is standing on a beach, not Bad-Wolf Bay, but his heart still gives a sqeeze when he see's it. The sun is glaring behind her, slightly sillhoutteing her, and making colourful sun-spots in the corner of the picture. Her hair is being blown by the wind, and she's smiling at the camera.

A tear forms in his eye, and plops down onto the picture. He sniffs, but doesn't bother wiping his tears away. He takes a breath, only to hear-

"Doctor?" Amy walks in, holding together a robe over her pajamas.

He turns and wipes his eyes at the same time. "Amy! I thought you were asleep."

"Had a bad dream." She doesn't give any details. Amy steps a bit closer, and gazes at the photograph. "Who's she?".

"A very dear friend. Rose." His voice breaks a bit at her name. Amy pretends not to notice.

"Oh. Is she-" Amy treads carefully.

"Gone."

"I'm sorry."

"Not dead. In a parallel unvierse. She can't come back." He clears his throat.

"Oh." Amy sighs. "I guess I'll go back to bed then." The Doctor doesn't respond. She walks closer and awkwardly pats him on the back. "Feel better, Raggedy Man." She walks out of the room, down one of the long, meandering hallways.

The Doctor looks up, watching Amy for a second, then goes back to the photo. "Rose." He mutters. "I'm so sorry." Walking over to the handrail of the TARDIS, he rests his elbow on it, and leans his head against his hand. "If only I could do something." He shakes his head. "Why didn't I say it?"

"Rose Tyler, I." He looks at the picture, realizes he can say the whole thing. He lets out a shaky, sob filled breath.

"Rose Tyler, I love you."
