Disclaimer: I don't own anything here.
Thanks for all the good feedback on Redemption or Revenge, I was planning on the Sequel but since some of you requested for it I figured I should start it ^^

Prologue

It had only been about a week since her release from prison and she was already being sent away from the palace. Things were still tense around the guards, the servants, Zuko, Mai.. pretty much everyone. She could never escape those fearful, distrusting eyes, the hate filled glares from everyone around her. But the worse ones were the ones she got from the Avatar and Ty Lee, those 'pity looks'. Azula could stand everything except for the latter, she didn't want or need their pity, and she knew she certainly didn't deserve it.

In that week after her freedom the Avatar had claimed to be there on 'business' but the Princess knew he was really only there to observe her behavior. Make sure she wasn't torturing or setting anyone on fire. By the end of the week Azula had gotten on better terms with Aang, enough that when she yelled at him not to look at her with those pity filled eyes he no longer flinched, he only would chuckle and apologize.

On that last day it was announced that Azula's next task was to go out and explore the world. Since Ty Lee had taken charge of her and volunteered to help her, the new home for the Princess would soon be Kyoshi Island. They packed what the firebender needed and were on the first boat the next day..

"You and Zuzu keep making it sound so dreamy, like some sort of vacation. Banishment is still banishment no matter what you call it, Ty Lee.." The prodigy scoffed some, leaning over the banister to look out onto the water. It calmed her nerves to watch the way the waves crashed up against the boat and then rolled out into the distance.

"We just all think it would be a good idea for you to get out and see the world. Learn different customs, meet different people.. It's not banishment, Azula, why do you keep calling it that?" Ty Lee chuckled softly before reaching out to squeeze her hand, "Try not to be so nervous, okay? Everything is going to be fine.."

When their hands met, Azula's golden eyes moved to meet the acrobat's silvery gaze and she bit her lip softly. There it was again, that looked she so utterly despised, that look of sadness and pity that Ty Lee failed to hide. She was tempted to yell at her for it, ask her to quit looking at her in such a way, but she knew better than to reprimand Ty Lee for it. It was only because she cared too much for a damaged Princess that she felt that way. Azula owed her life to Ty Lee, the least she could do was try to redeem herself for the wrongs of her past.

The Princess only took the acrobat's hand in her own and gaze upon the soft skin in silence for a moment before attempting at a warm smile. Before she could think of a response, Ty Lee turned her head quickly, her eyes lighting up with excitement as Kyoshi Island peeked it's way over the horizon.

"Look, 'Zula, you can see the island from here! We're almost home.."
