Prompt: Do you remember…

"Do you remember the first time you met, Mommy?" Vivi asked as she climbed onto her father's lap.

"Of course I do baby. It was the best day of my whole life."

"Will you tell me about it?"

Danny looked down at his daughter, "Aren't you supposed to be in bed?"

Vivi pouted, "Please, Daddy, please, just one story, please please please."

"Okay, okay," he said, holding up his hand, "I'll tell you."

"Then I want to hear too," Rowan said, stomping in and settling on Danny's other leg, clearly annoyed, "I'm older and I'm not going to bed before her," she said, pointing at Vivi.

"It's rude to point," Vivi said, smacking her sister's hand away, "Mommy says."

"Mommy also says that your bedtime past, but Danny lets you stay up because you're his baby."

"Am not. I'm telling…"

"Okay, okay," Danny said, sighing deeply, "Enough. Do you want to hear about how I met your mother or not?"

Vivi and Rowan glared at each other once more, but then nodded, "We do."

"Okay. It was 2006 and your mother's first day as a CSI in New York City. She met us at the zoo and when I saw her I went a little crazy."

"Crazy?" Vivi asked her brow furrowing.

"Well, your mom's real pretty and she was looking beautiful that day and then she was taming the tiger and well, I got a little jealous of the animal and I might have played a little trick on your mom."

Rowan's eyes widened, "Mommy must not have liked that."

"She didn't like it at all. In fact after my little trick she did her best to hate me for the next few months."

"I didn't hate you," Lindsay said, coming into the room with Isabella on her hip, "You annoyed me…deeply."

Danny shrugged, "Same thing. Anyway, your mom and I kept annoying each other."

"I am not annoying."

"Until one day your mom went undercover."

It was Vivi's whose eyes widened this time, "For real?"

"Oh it was very real. Your mom made me a nervous wreck the whole time. When I finally got in there, well, I knew I had to have her."

Lindsay nodded, "Your dad was very persuasive. He flew all the way to Montana just for me."

Danny shrugged, "You were worth it…mostly."

Rowan and Vivi giggled as their mother slapped their father on the head.

Danny smiled at his girls and leaned up to kiss his wife, "Okay, okay, totally worth it."
