Somewhat of a Prologue
I rise with a yawn. Struggle to figure out where I am. I should be back at the home, in my nice, comfortable bed. Then I remember. I gently nudge spyro awake, although Im sure he doesnt want to get
up either, but we have a big day ahead of us. He eventually rises, and he seems confused about where he is for a moment, but it takes him a little less time to figure out. We take off and get to a
comfortable height, far above the floating debris but under the clouds. We survey the area to see if we can spot any signs of home, but unfortunately, find none. We decide to fly east, directly at
the rising sun. Ignitus once told me that at one time, everyone thought that if you flew too far east you would fly right into the sun. We know better, but it brings back memories of home, of the
stories that the four guardians would often tell us when we had nothing better to do. All me and Spyro know to do now was to fly east. Eventually, we could find which direction was straight along
the equator by the sun's various positions throughout the day. During this time of the year, the spring equinox, if you traveled far enough along the equator, you would come across the temple.
Knowing that can be quite useful, especially when you are in the same situation that Spyro and I are in. Soon after sealing Malefor's fate, we worked our way back to Warfang, and made sure everyone
had made it through this whole crazy event alive. Only a few people had gotten hurt, and even those wounds were minor. Spyro eventually found Spark's, but neither of us, nor Sparks were able to
find any of the guardians. We assume they made their way back to the temple, believing we had sacrificed ourselves in the process of fixing the world. Sparks is still sleeping, resting in a kind of
inexpensive leather shoulder pouch given to spyro as a gift for saving their lives. I wish he were awake, because he seems to have a supurior sense of direction. and we oft rely on him to get us
around if we get lost, but he looks like he could sleep for weeks. And I couldn't blame him either, with all that he just went through. Its noon now, and spyro and I agree that we need to stop for
lunch. We packed 3 days worth of provisions, and at the rate we're going at, it should be enough. When we land, sparks sticks his head out of spyro's shoulder pouch and says somthing to spyro in a
whisper, and they both begin to laugh uncontrollably. I'm not sure that I even want to know what it is they're talking about. A look from spyro and I can confirm that. As we eat our sandwiches,
Sparks uses the shadow of a stick to find direct east. He can be annoying, but he can be pretty useful too. Once we're all done, Sparks points us in the direction of the Dragon Temple. Then he
settles back into Spyro's shoulder pouch. He adds "Yell if you need me." Before he dozes off.
