How did she end up here?
The room is bright, colourful, almost garishly so. Paintings are tacked on one wall, posters on another. She drops down on huge bean bags in a corner of the room. They are not as comfortable as they look, they are not firm enough. There's a tiny bookcase with large books. It is silent and still, and she can just barely hear some birds singing in nearby trees. In twenty minutes, all this will change, and the room will be full of children hyped up with the promise out a trip to the nearest funfair.
How did she get roped into accepting the role of 'accompanying parent' when she is not even a parent?
Lily will definitely owe her back.. big time.
