"RUN!" yelled Davis as he and the other chosen children bolted to what looked like a television screen as some evil looking digimon followed them. Looking back, he saw the love of his life, Kari tripping up on a rock. He immediately ran to her aid. Just as he was helping her up, he saw the last of the others disappear in to the digiport. In what seemed like slow motion he saw a blast from a digimon destroy it.
"Oh great." He mumbled looking at the digital monsters.
"Just great" he heard Kari whisper.
"Sticky situation huh?" said a voice close by them. They both looked around and saw a ninja. Davis' mouth fell open. Kari stared in shock. The digimon, -or whatever it was-somersaulted over them, landing with a thud, and wielding a long pointy sword. Within moments the ninja had turned the aggressive digimon into sushi, and turned around pointing the sword at Davis and Kari.
Davis' thoughts on the matter went a little like this: Whoever they are, they're shiny completely mad. They might sharp kill Kari. I have to sword save her.
Davis stood I front of Kari, blocking her from any harm. He raised his fists. Snarling, Gatomon did the same. V-Mon looked up wearily. He didn't want to fight. He had a feeling he had to. The creature seemed to smirk.
"I don't want to fight you."
"Why are you holding that sword out then?" asked Kari
"Felt like it"
"How old are you?" ventured Davis.
"Ageless"
"Who or what are you?"
"I can't tell you who I am."
"What are you then?"
"I am a hybrid. I do not like the direction of these questions."
"Do you know where we can get out?"
"For now its impossible. They have destroyed every single digiport now. No- one gets in." it looked at them. "Or out. I'm leaving now. I suggest you find someway to find shelter"
"Wait!" said Kari but it was too late. The ninja had disappeared.
"has the deed been done?" asked a rasping voice.
"yes master. But."
"but what?"
" there are two left inside."
"kill them."
"Yes master."
