Just a little oneshot I wrote in free time in class. I've kept it in my notebook for a while now, and I'm finally typing it up.
Annabeth's Pov:
"Come on!" Leo yelled. "You guys are so slow!"
"I'm sorry for not being super enthusiastic about getting into a stuffy car for, oh, I don't know, eight hours!" Percy grumbled.
"C'mon, guys, maybe it'll be fun!" Piper said. "Maybe."
"Guys!" I screamed. "Just get into the car, and we'll get there earlier!"
"But Annabeth-" Percy started to complain.
"No! Just get in the car, Percy." He got into the car, but I think I heard him mumble something about me not being his mom.
The seven were going on a road trip. Yay. We got in the car, (It had three rows of seats.) it was silent. Seven people in a car, and it was silent.
"Hey," Piper said. "There's tons of things we could do! We could… Um… Sing!"
"Yeah!" Leo shouted.
"Ow, Leo," Percy grumbled. "We're in a small car, there's no need to yell. We can all hear you."
"Although some of us would prefer not to," Frank muttered.
"Excuse me, I am a very enjoyable person to listen to!" Leo shot back.
"Guys, we might as well sing," Hazel said. "We don't have anything better to do."
"How about we sing 'Let it go?'" Leo offered.
"Over my dead body," Frank retorted.
"Um… How about 'Shake it out?'" I asked.
"Yay, 'Shake It Off!' CAUSE THE HATERS GONNA HATE-"
"Shake it out, Leo! Not Shake it off! It's by Florence And The Machine. Man do I hate it when people mix those two up. They're completely different!"
"It's okay, Annabeth," Percy said putting his hand on mine. "I think Leo gets it now."
I pulled out my tablet. "I've got the karaoke version on here." I explained. "It will be easier."
"Regrets collect, like old friends
Here to relive your darkest moments
I can see no way, I can see no way
And all the ghouls come out to play
And every demon wants its pound of flesh
But I like to keep some things to myself
And I like to keep my issues drawn
It's always darkest before the dawn
And I've been a fool, and I've been blind
I can never leave the past behind
I can see no way, I can see no way
I'm always dragging that horse around
All of his questions, such a mournful sound
But tonight I'm gonna bury that horse in the ground
So I like to keep my issues strong
It's always darkest before the dawn
Shake it out, shake it out, shake it out, shake it out, ooh woah
Shake it out, shake it out, shake it out, shake it out, ooh woah
And it's hard to dance
With a devil on your chest
So shake him off, ooh woah!"
We sang that song, and another, and another after that. We even did a game of truth or dare! (A/N: Review if you want me to do a one shot of the game of truth or dare!) It turned out to be a very fun car ride. In the end, our voices were hoarse (Even Piper's!), and we were all very tired. I closed my eyes, and put my head on Percy's shoulder. Yeah, we were going somewhere. But all that mattered was now.
PLEASE REVIEW! Just to clear things up, Argus was driving. There was a blocker between them and Argus. Also, a cry for help. I have no idea what to do next for my story, Forever High. Please read it and give me some ideas!
