Idk why I felt like writing this, probably because I just watched Vanessassary Roughness. Basically, Phineas and Ferb are 15, and Vanessa is 21. Right now, the later two are only friends, but Ferb still has strong feelings for Vanessa. Enjoy!
Ferb and Vanessa sat across from each other at the table in a little corner cafe in downtown Danville. After Phineas and Isabella had started dating, Ferb found himself having more free days, so he had started hanging out with Vanessa more often. After five years, Ferb found that his feelings for the older girl hadn't passed yet, so he had begun inviting her over for their daily activities, although she didn't know that he liked her at first. About a week ago it had slipped out, and the two of them hadn't seen each other since. Then today Ferb had invited her to go for coffee, saying he needed to talk to her, which was different for him, seeing as he never talked much. However, he found that around Vanessa he actually found things to say.
"So what did you want to talk about?" Vanessa asked, absently stirring stirring her latte.
"It's about what I said a week ago," he replied, taking a sip of his tea. He could have sworn he saw her blush, but in a second it was gone.
"So, you meant what you said, about having a crush on me since you were ten."
Ferb nodded, his expression not showing anything yet. Vanessa smiled slightly. Over the years she had stopped wearing her usual black outfit all the time, although she still wore it sometimes. Today, she was wearing black jeans and a dark red tank top. Her long brown hair fell down her back, having not been cut for years. Ferb thought she looked beautiful, although he didn't say it out loud just yet.
Ferb himself still retained his style, today wearing a white long-sleeve and purple vest. His hair was almost exactly the same as it had been five years ago, except it was slightly longer now.
"Why didn't you tell me before?" Vanessa asked, looking up at him.
"I didn't how you felt," he replied simply, blinking several times.
"Well, I am six years older than you."
Ferb was well aware of that fact. Normally a difference that small would be fine, but with him being 15 it would appear strange to some people. Vanessa sighed.
"You know Ferb, you had nothing to worry about, telling me," she told him.
"Does that mean, you feel the same way?" he asked hopefully. Vanessa smiled.
"Ferb, you're fifteen, and I'm twenty-one. I'd say give it five years before we make anything of it."
Ferb nodded sadly, but brightened up when he realized that she hadn't said no. He had to agree with her though. If he still felt the same way in five years, he'd ask her again, and see what happened from there.
"Would you still be my date to Candace and Jeremy's wedding?" he asked. Vanessa smiled wider.
"I couldn't think of anyone else I'd rather go with," she replied, leaning forward to give him a small kiss on the cheek. Ferb smiled, an expression that rarely showed on his face. For now, he was perfectly content to be friends. That was more than he had hoped for in the first place.
Yeah yeah, it's short, but I thought it was sweet. Let me know what you thought!
