Okay you guys, so this is just a little thing I typed up after listening to The Rainbow Connection by Kermit the Frog. Enjoy.

The team laid in a comfortable silence on the green grass of the park. Private stared lovingly at the sky when he noticed lines of shining color in the sky. A rainbow. Private sat up suddenly and looked at his teammates excitedly.

"Hey! Guys! Look at the-"He took a closer look at his team and noticed that Rico was asleep and lowered his voice a couple of decibels. "Look K'walski and Skippah… A beautiful rainbow…" Both teammates sat up and looked at the sky.

"Well, that's nice Private," Skipper said before laying back down and closing his eyes. Kowalski still stared at the sky curiously.

"I know it is. I wonder what's on the other side…" Private smiled and stared at the rainbow lovingly.

"Private, there's nothing on the other side of the rainbow. It's just a sign that the air is moist. There may be a rain shower," Kowalski said matter-of-factually. Private scrunched his face for a minute before shaking his head.

"There still might be a chance that there's something spectacular on the end of it, K'walski," Private defended his point with a smile on his face.

"This is what I don't understand. Rainbows are just visionary things made of water and sunlight," Kowalski pointed at the sky with his flippers in anger. "And another thing! Who came up with the idea that stars can grant wishes? Someone must've come up with it to fool others into wasting their time!" Kowalski's ranting had woken up Rico and coaxed Skipper into sitting up. Private slid a little closer to the scientist and tapped his shoulder.

"I believe all of that stuff is real Kowalski. You wanna know why?"

"Because you are naïve and don't any better?" Kowalski said in a pouty voice.

"Not really. I know that all that stuff was proven wrong by science but I… Hmm… Let me put it like this; you know when you hear a voice calling your name and you know it's just your mind playing tricks on you but you can't help but believe it's real? It's like that," Kowalski looked at Private with a confused face.

"I don't get it…"

"Someday you'll get it, K'walski," Private smiled at the scientist before laying back down in the soft grass and watching the rainbow slowly fade away in the cloud cover.

"Do you get it, Skipper?" Kowalski whispered to his commanding officer.

"Not at all,"

So… Yeah. I know it's dumb but don't be shy and leave a review.
