There was a man named Jenneson

Whom the angels did send

He burned brighter than the sun

And shone more brilliant that the sky.

He was not meant for this earth

Not like you and I.

He tried to take the stars.

He tried to touch the sky.

Silly little boy,

You were not meant to fly.

He wanted to touch the clouds

He wanted to dance in a star

Foolish little boy,

You want to go too far.

He wished to hug his brother sun.

He wished to fly to the moon.

Reckless little boy,

You wish to go too soon.

He'd hoped to catch the wind.

He'd hoped to converse with the snow.

Ridiculous little boy,

No one knows where the wind may blow.

He strove to taste the lightning.

He strove to sing the butterfly's tune.

Absurd little boy,

You can't see the night at noon.

He struggled to brush the stars

He strove to touch the sky

Silly little boy, said the sun

You weren't meant to fly.
