Author's Note- Hello everyone! Welcome to my second fan fiction! This one is about the Akatsuki member Sasori. I really like him, he's my second favorite Akatsuki member. This is about why Sasori is so impatient. So yeah, here we go! Oh wait one more thing…

~Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto. That's obvious, but yeah whatever still have to say it.~

Sasori sat silently in his room. He glanced at the clock hanging at the wall. It continued to tick, tick away the same as the last few times he had looked at it. The young boy thought back on his grandmother's words:

"Your mother and father got sent away on another mission. You can wait, right Sasori?"

He thought he could wait, he honestly did. The old saying 'patience is a virtue' rang through his mind. Honestly though, realization was starting to strike the redhead. For a while, he tried to ignore the nagging thoughts.

They're not coming back idiot, a voice hissed in his head. Can't you tell the old lady's been lying to you?

He shook his head violently.

"N-no, it's not true," the young scorpion tried to reassure himself. "I just have to wait a bit longer. Granny Chiyo said so."

Sasori did wait. He waited so long for his parents to return to him, to encircle him in a warm embrace. To give him the parental love he so much desired. His grandmother tried her best to fill the empty void, but she knew it wouldn't help, not really.

Why did they leave me? Don't they love me? Am I not a good enough son? Endless questions refused to leave the young puppet master. I wish I didn't have to wait so long…

Eventually, Sasori came to terms with his reality. He knew his parents weren't coming back, he always knew. Denial kept him from realizing the frightening truth. He waited all that time, and for what? To have one huge disappointment come crashing down on his shoulders. His parents were dead, d-e-a-d, dead. That word, which he had been so scared to even think all that time he waited, was the one word that described his parents now. Sasori came to one final conclusion.

He hated waiting.

Voila! It's finished! Feel free to give constructive criticism (nicely please!) and point out any spelling or grammar mistakes you can find. Thanks for taking the time to read my short little story!
