Hey, Muffy here, I've been reading Kensi/Deeks fanfictions avidly now for, oh, maybe the past month, month and a half, and there really aren't that many out there! I'm currently in the middle of 'Deep' by gf7: it's amazing. Literally, go read it, haha. So I was kinda inspired because for a while now I've been telling myself to write a Kensi/Deeks fic to contribute to the ship, and I didn't get around to it 'til today. This is my first Kensi/Deeks fic, but I've written other stories before…I'm not sure how good it is so far since I just kinda wrote it with out a plan. If anyone has any suggestions of how to continue it, I will gladly consider them! Hope you enjoy, and I suggest to you reader, even if you've never written a fanfiction before, find time and try. I'm sure you can come up with something! Send me a message of a link to your story, I'd love it read it!

"Kensi, please, just let me explain," Deeks pleaded through the dark mahogany door.

There was no reply but the man swore he heard the footsteps within the room falter for a minute before they grew closer to the other side of the door which Deeks stood at determinedly.

"What do you want, Deeks?" was the quietly muttered return the detective was given in return to his plea. The girl in the apartment sounded tired and defeated.

Deeks opened his mouth to quickly spew forth an explanation, but he stopped him self before he made a sound. The tired looking man tentatively placed his right hand on her door level to his face. Seemingly ashamed, he looked down and to the right before saying, "I-I'm sorry. Can I-can you just let me explain?"

Confusion and hurt clouded Kensi's face at these words. However much she wanted him to leave, she also wanted the truth. True, she was angry with him right now. It felt like she'd been slapped in the face, but she could also tell that the man really was sorry. With a sigh, the emotionally drained woman unlocked the deadbolt and the doorknob and tentatively opened her door, completely avoiding the gaze of the detective in front of her.

To be honest, Deeks was surprised when he heard the deadbolt being undone and he quickly retrieved his hand from its position on her door. As the door swung open he felt his eyebrows raise slightly and a small smile form on his lips. He hoped he looked at least half as sorry as he felt. Then he noticed she wasn't meeting his eyes and his face dropped a little.

A few seconds past and neither moved until Kensi made a brisk sweeping gesture with her hand, "Are you coming in or standing in the hall?" she asked Deeks, an obvious edge to her voice.

With a side-glance to the woman, Deeks slowly entered her apartment. A quickly glance behind him showed her closing and re-locking her door, and her footsteps behind him said she was following him. He made his way into her living room, which was somewhat small and truthfully, had a little too many things to be considered a normal amount. Deeks had been there before, albeit in different, happier circumstances. He sat down on her sofa and looked up to see where she'd sit. He saw that she'd resorted to leaning against the entrance wall of her living room, too pissed off at him to voluntarily closer to him.

"So...you had something to say?" Kensi asked bitterly to Deeks with her head cocking to one side. She couldn't wait to hear his explanation.

Good? Bad? Definitely wouldn't turn down a review, and I would greatly appreciate any suggestions of what Deeks could've down to make Kensi so pissed off. I never figured that part out when writing it haha, thanks for reading!
