"More." Ike insisted, slamming his jug of booze onto the table. Soren walked over, picking up a towlette from the counter. "Someone's lazy today." She said, rubbing the inside of the jug with the towlette. "N'thin's goin' on, s'yeah." Ike said lazily, slamming his head onto the marble counter, "Ouch" Soren grinned, and said, "I think that's enough for you today." She walked over to the sink and palced his glass gently onto the bottom. "So how are you?" She asked Ike, pulling up a chair behind the counter. "Oh, me? M'good. How's all that fam'ly business?" Ike asked, leaning closer towards Soren, his alcoholic breath brushing up against her face.
"I don't know, to be honest. The last letter I got from them said that they were taking a vacation in Romania with my sister, Audrey. Yet, the handwriting wasn't like any handwriting I've seen before… Must have something to do with their hand coordination after taking care of dragons." Ike listened to her every word and nodded. "Doncha find it strange, though? You haven't seen your fam'ly n'like, ages, but you still b'lieve their still even alive?" "Ike, of course they're alive. If they weren't, they wouldn't be able to write me any letters." "True that." Ike replied. He looked behind him, then back at Soren.
"Sounds fishy t'me." "You're flat out drunk. That's why you think that." Soren said, walking out from behind the counter and over to Ike. "You're lucky I'm done with my shift." She said, helping Ike off the chair who immediately slumped into her arms. "Nighty night~" He said, lying his head on Soren's shoulder, followed by soft snores. Soren grinned, taking a book out of her pocket and chanted a sentence from it. As she did, Ike immediately began to hover above her. "Spells. The wonders of magic." She said, pushing through the doors and rushing off into the woods. As she was running, she was immediately abrupted by a sudden shake, causing her to trip and fall, Ike still hovering above her, his shadow casting over her. She looked up in front of her and noticed a void forming on one of the tree trunks.
"VOID!" She screamed, desperate for help. Voids were signs of evil. An evil sorcerer, and evil king, anything of that nature. Sure, she was right. A young man with fine leather boots walked out of the void, a royal blue cape fluttering behind him. He bent down, clutching onto Soren's wrist, and pulled her into the void. She let out another scream as Ike immediately fell to the ground. He woke up with a start, but a red glow surrounded him, stopping him, as if he were frozen in time. It was too risky having someone see a void in such a location as a forest, for the message would soon spread. Most voids are seen in castles or on palace grounds, never in a forest, out in the open public. A girl with short burnet hair peeked from behind the tree, keeping her yellow dress from flapping in the wind. "A void….!" She whispered, and skipped off back to the town. This had to mean something. She thought, and that something just might change our world. Forever.
