No Love – Simple Plan

Staring out into the world across the street
You hate the way your life turned out to be
He's pulling up in the driveway
And you don't make a sound
'Cause you always learn
To hold the things you wanna say
You're always gonna be afraid

Little Sasuke was looking out the window, sighing as he watched his neighbors' kids play outside happily. He wondered why he couldn't do that. Why his father forbid him from going outside for anything other than school. He heard his father pulling into the driveway and didn't even turn his head as the door opened. He had long since learned that speaking would only make things worse. He had long since accepted that he was always going to be scared of his father, even after he moved out and never had to see him again. He had long since found out his life way far from normal.

[Chorus:]

There's only hate,

there's only tears
There's only pain
There is no love here
(Oh) So what will you do?
There's only lies,

there's only fears
There's only pain
There is no love here

Sasuke knew his father didn't love him, nor want him. He knew his brother nor his mother would stand up for him. He knew he wasn't allowed to cry in front of his father either. He knew all his life could bring him was pain. He knew no one loved him and he wondered if it was at all possible to love him. He knew any kind gesture his father made towards his friends or mother was all fake and a lie. He knew his mother and brother were afraid of him. He knew it was a hopeless cause.

Broken down, like a mirror smashed to pieces
You learned the hard way to shut your mouth and smile
If these walls could talk
They would have so much to say
'Cause every time you fight
The scars are gonna heal
But they're never gonna go away

Sasuke knew he wasn't to say anything about what happened at home. If anyone were to ask, he was supposed to lie. And He did, he knew the consequence of doing otherwise. He told the truth once and he almost couldn't walk for a month. His father had also managed to straighten it all out and there was once again, no one else who knew the truth. He knew if the walls of his room could talk, tell the story of his life in them they'd be going on and on for a long time. He knew that his scars healed but everyday he'd check the mirror and they were still there. Eye sores on his otherwise unmarked skin.

[chorus]
You're falling, you're screaming
You're stuck in the same old nightmare
He's lying, you're crying
There's nothing left to salvage
Kick the door, 'cause this is over
Get me out of here
Kick that door

He knew this would all end tragically. And so long as it wasn't tragic for him, he could deal with it. He turned on music so loud in his room to where he could scream and cry all he wanted and no one would know. Every night he'd wake up form the same dream and he no longer screamed, he knew no one could hear him, or if they could they wouldn't help him he knew no one who'd care would hear his pain. He knew his father lied every step of the way and all he could do was cry in his room. Cry and scream. He knew he was worth nothing. He figured he was broken beyond repair, like a wine glass that fell to the floor. He wanted to run away, he wanted to just the get out of there.

[chorus]
There's only hate, there's only tears
There's only pain
There is no love here

"This is the story of My childhood" I tell the blonde crying in my lap.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Sasuke." he sobbed.

"It's ok....Naruto..."

A/N: branch off of Bad Habits, hince the conversation at the very end. I'm not including this in my songfic fic because I want people to read it. I think with things like this I'm trying to raise awareness of abuse in homes. But idk -shrugs-
