A/N: It has been super long since I've posted anything Gilmore Girls related and half of this has been on my computer for a very long time, so I thought why not? It's a little different from my usual- I've done second person before, but I've never sympathized with Logan. And it may be awhile before I update Awkward Assumptions, in case you were wondering.

You met him once. Once. It took one impression to know that she loved him. She looked at him like he was Romeo and she was Juliet. It was almost insulting when she glanced towards you, like you were simply just Paris. You were that guy, and you hate that she made you that guy.

You committed yourself to her. You gave up your life of sleeping around for her. You wouldn't have done that for anybody else. In the back of your mind you knew, you just knew you loved her. Of course, you wouldn't say it back. You had too much pride, too much hurt in the past to say those words. Somehow, they made you seem weak, helpless. You'd be little Oliver Twist asking for some more food. You thought she might laugh. (Even though Rory would never do such a thing)

You were going to tell her soon. At least, that was your plan. You'd finally reveal your deep dark secret, and you and her could live happily ever after. That was the only plan you've ever made yourself in your entire life. You were hoping everything would go as planned. But, something always has to go wrong.

She wasn't in school, and you were okay with that. It was Rory's decision, not yours, and if it's what she wanted, that's what she'd get. You didn't know that's not what she really wanted. What she wanted was a dark haired cynic with a wicked sense of humor and great taste in music.

You shouldn't have been surprised when what she wanted showed up. Rory almost always got what she wanted, so why shouldn't this be any different? He swooped her off her feet, making her realize her mistakes in her choices. Dropping out of school, dating you; it was all wrong. And even from inside the pub, you could here him knocking the sense into her.

And he was right. She was fooling herself into thinking that you were the right guy, into quitting school and being in the DAR was a good thing. You told her that- at the beginning, you did. You want to tell her that, but she's angry at you as it is, and all you want to do is make up. You love her and she just keeps walking away.

Now she's his. You took too long with your apology- your flowers and coffee cart and doorway profession of love just wasn't enough for her. She's moved on, to him, you know, but you can't help but ache for her more. She's the only girl you've ever loved and you're not quite sure you'll ever love again.

But you're Logan Huntzburger: you don't need anyone else to make you happy. You have money and friends, and it's not like girls aren't lining up to get with you. Yet somehow, everything else just isn't as appealing as it was before Rory Gilmore came into your life.
