A/N: In my opinion I didn't enjoy the two part start to season 3. This is my take on how I would have liked it to have happened. Please review and enjoy, maybe not in that order though.
Kill Ari
Chapter 1
The bullet flew through the air, hitting it's intended target perfectly. Special Agent Caitlin Todd fell backwards, landing in between her two colleagues. Gibbs raised his gun instinctively, but he had no idea where the shot had come from.
Tony and McGee sat in silence as Tony drove them back to NCIS. Both agents were dripping wet and shivering from the cold. Suddenly, Tony broke the silence.
"Are you ok McGee?" Tony asked, turning to look at his friend, and colleague. McGee didn't answer, instead he just sat there staring into the space in front of him. "Hey, McGee" Tony yelled. McGee didn't respond straight away. After a few seconds he finally responded.
"She's gone" Was all he could manage. Tony looked at McGee.
"Yeah, she is" Tony said back. "And we can either talk about her and do nothing, or-"
"Or what Tony?" McGee interrupted. "When we find Ari, if we do, what are we going to do? Put a bullet in him, because that's not who we are. Is it?"
Tony thought for a second. "I'll tell what we are going to do McGee. We are going to kill Ari."
Gibbs sat in his desk chair, his thoughts everywhere. He stared at the desk adjacent to his, the empty chair. He knew that doing nothing wouldn't help, but he couldn't help stop and think, about everything. He stared at the computer screen and saw the face staring back at him. Ari. Gibbs glared at the screen, but he couldn't turn it off, not until this was over. He growled to himself and got off his chair and headed for MTAC.
Ducky switched on the light of autopsy, taking his hat off and placing it on the table. He turned to see a figure sat upright against the autopsy table.
"Abigail?" Ducky questioned. All Ducky got in response was a sob, something he had never heard from NCIS' best forensic scientist. After a few seconds she spoke.
"She's gone"
