This is a story of two normal young kids who were at the wrong place at the right time, and got pulled from their world into a war driven one.
Kataras POV
Water. Earth. Fire. Air. My grandmother used to tell me stories about the old days, a time of peace when the Avatar kept balance between the Water Tribes, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. But that all changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar mastered all four elements and two unknown could stop the ruthless firebenders. But when the world needed the avatar the most he vanished. A hundred years have passed and the Fire Nation is nearing victory in the War. Two years ago, my father and the men of my tribe journeyed to the Earth Kingdom to help fight against the Fire Nation, leaving me and my brother to look after our tribe. Some people believe that the Avatar was never reborn into the Air Nomads, and that the cycle is broken. But I haven't lost hope. I still believe that somehow, the Avatar and the Unknown will save the world.
Yuki's POV
"Come on Max" I yelled as we were running form the policeā¦again. We are orphans that found each other and we are practically family now. I remember how I found him like it was yesterday.
~~~~Flashback~~~~
Yuki was running in the rain away from violent yelling and turned sharply into an ally, her light brown dress ripping even more around the knees as she clutched soggy bread and a haft full bottle of milk close to her small tanned frame. She sat down safe from the frighting noises and was about to bite into her soggy bread roll when she froze. She didn't know why she stopped but she slowly stood and walked further down the alley to the dark untouched parts and heard why she had frozen. A crying baby. In a small box was a blanket, Yuki took small steps to it and peeled the cover back it see a much smaller face. Under the blanket was a note safe from the pouring rain, it simple said "Max." Yuki smiled and whispered not to scare the younger child further "Guess I got a brother now."
~~~~end of flashback~~~~
The seventeen and twelve year old ran as fast as they could with Yuki smiling from a memory from ten years ago.
