Choppers and Kisses

Jill took a seat next to him opposite of where she once was. Sheva had too removed herself from her previous seat to join her 'brother' at the front of the chopper, leaving the two alone. Jill's head turned, looking up at the rugged face that belonged to her partner. His eyes were tired, much like her own. She couldn't help but smile, and put her head on his shoulder.
His memories wandered when he felt her head rest upon his shoulder, though weary, he could still remember. Thirteen years back, when she first put her head in that very spot as they escaped the Spencer Estate. He smiled, putting his arm around her in a soft embrace. Large, calloused finger brushing a strand of blonde out of her face.
"Are you okay?" He asked in a soft whisper, placing his forehead to hers.
"Just. . .tired." The blonde replied wearily. "You?" She continued, her voice almost non-existent.
"I'm just glad to have you back." He said. Still in a soft whisper.
Sheva glanced back at the two, a look of jealousy had taken over her face. Showing in all emotion. Josh looked over to her, giving his head a shake as he patted her on the shoulder. Sheva attention turning to him.
"You can't tell me that you didn't expect that to happen." Josh spoke in a matter a fact tone, with that thick accent.
"I guess I just thought they were close friends, like you and I." Sheva retorted, guilt forming in the pit of her gut. "I supposed I got too attached." She continued, trying her best not to look back at the two.
Chris leaned his head in a little closer to hers. The warmth of his breath felt good against her skin. She breathed in his scent, and let it fill her senses to full capacity. His head leaned in a little more, locking their lips together. She pressed back, letting thirteen years of concealed love she had felt for him come rushing out. The moment couldn't be more perfect.
"That was nice." She confessed as their lips parted, a smiled taking it's place.
A look, no, that look, that suave Redfield stare was all he could give her as he once again rested his forehead to hers. A moment passed and he pulled away, holding up one finger as he dug into his pocket.
"I almost forgot. . ." He said, pulling out the contents which he was looking for. It was her beret. When her apartment got raided after she had taken a dive, he had managed to swipe it, and kept it. Handing it over to her. Jill took it in her tiny hands, and only offered him another smile before pushing her lips back to his.
