GOTHAM CITY
January 1, 16:16 EST

Water dripped softly, the sound echoing ominously off the concrete walls. The light smell of dirty water and various other unmentionable smells swirled around the sewer, and shrouded the heroes floating aimlessly in its tunnels. Grimacing, a red head, known in the hero world as Silver, broke the silence.

With a heavy sigh, Silver glanced to her right, directly at Blue Beetle, "We're lost, aren't we?"

"We are not lost!" Blue grumbled, frantically glancing around. His eyes settled on a tunnel that looked promising before floating down it, dragging a reluctant Silver behind him.

"Yup," The girl popped the 'p', "We're lost," She stopped floating, taking a moment to check on the third member of their party, "Still with us, Gar?" She called out.

From below the girl, there was a splash as the watery surface was broken, revealing a green crocodile. Within a matter of seconds, the crocodile had shifted back into a primate-like boy, who grinned up at his floating friends, "Still here."

'Delta Squad,' Miss Martian's voice rang in the teen's heads. Silver cringed slightly, still not quite used to a mind link, 'We flushed the target. Converge on our signal.'

"There," Blue Beetle stated, glancing at Silver, "I told you we're not lost."

Silver rolled her eyes, correcting the boy, "We were lost. Miss Martian saved us. Now let's get out of here." The red haired teen darted off in the direction the signal was leading her, Blue Beetle and Beast Boy hot on her tail. Silver was more than ready to leave the sewers. Sure, she had gotten used to the smell seeing as she had been down there for hours, but that didn't mean she liked being in the sewers.

How Beast Boy could stand to be in the disgusting water Silver will never know.

"Just happy it worked," Robin smiled softly as Silver touched down. Her eyes roamed over to the frozen Clayface and from the looks of it, she missed the fight. However, Silver didn't mind. She thought the guy was downright disgusting.

A slithering sound echoed around the room, causing Silver to glance to her left. A very green, very dirty crocodile whom Silver immediately recognized surfaced. Shifting back to his normal self, Beast Boy cried out, "Aw man! Is it over already?" The green boy pouted, "I didn't even get a souvenir!"

"Ack," Blue Beetle cried, covering his nose with his arm, "I think that smell qualifies," As soon as the words left Blue's mouth, the smell he was talking about travelled down wind and directly into Silver's nose.

The girl grimaced before lightly nudging Robin, "Got a re-breather I could borrow?"

"Nope," The Boy Wonder chuckled softly, a smile gracing his lips, "Fresh out."

Silver frowned, "Then how about we move this way," She grabbed his arm, dragging the raven away from the smell and towards Miss Martian and Superboy.

"Delta squad to Cave," Miss Martian pressed her finger to her comm, "Target neutralized."

"Good work Delta," Nightwing's voice chimed in Delta Squad's ears, "Come on home. Nightwing out."

MOUNT JUSTICE
January 1, 18:18 EST

"Recognized: Superboy: B-Zero-Five, Miss Martian: B-Zero-Six, Bumblebee: B-One-Seven, Beast Boy: B-One-Nine, Robin: B-Two-Zero, Blue Beetle: B-Two-Two, Silver: B-Two-Three,"

"Welcome home Angel Fish," Lagoon Boy greeted his girlfriend, Miss Martian. According to Robin, and various other people, Silver had learned that Miss Martian had once been with Superboy. Glancing over her shoulder, Silver watched a disgruntled clone storm passed the couple.

"Thank you La'gaan," Miss Martian cooed, kissing the Atlantean.

Choosing to ignore the making out couple, Silver stepped up her pace to walk beside Blue Beetle. Making their way towards the locker room, Silver caught Blue flashing the couple curious looks.

Silver elbowed her friend in the chest, flinching slightly as the hard metal of his armor bruised her elbow, "Don't stare," Blue glanced down at the girl, who flashed him a smirk, "It's rude."

"But it's just…" Blue glanced back at the couple, as did Silver, "Weird."

Silver shrugged, gaze returning to Blue, "We just need to move on."

"I'm hitting the showers," Superboy grumbled, pushing past the duo. Silver frowned, crossing her arms.

"Now that," Blue's armor disappeared, something of which Silver thought was cool, "Sounds like a plan," He gestured to Beast Boy, "Y'know, for you hermano,"

Beast Boy pouted, hands hanging out as goo dripped off them. Silver chuckled, rubbing the boys head absentmindedly. The girl immediately regretted her decision as she pulled her hand away, the slimy substance now falling from her hands.

With a grimace, she quickly rubbed the substance on her pants, muttering, "Gross."

"Clayface is safely back in his Arkham cell," Robin reported, catching Silver's attention. The silver-eyed girl watched as Robin approached Nightwing, the Team's leader.

"Good work," Nightwing smiled at Robin. His gaze flickered up as he watched Silver approach them.

"I didn't do much," Robin admitted, sheepishly smiling.

Silver lightly hip-checked Robin, chuckling, "You did more than me," Robin glanced at the girl, smiling softly. Silver returned his smile before the two teens turned back towards their bemused leader.

"I just-"

An alarm resounded around the room, interrupting Robin. Glancing up, Silver watched as a large screen appeared. On screen was Captain Atom, "Emergency Alert," He reported, "United Nations Headquarters is under attack,"

Mal turned towards Nightwing, "Beta's only two blocks away." He told the raven.

Nightwing nodded his acknowledgement and looked up at Captain Atom, "Captain Atom," He reported, "The Team's beta squad is in the vicinity. ETA in three minutes."

"Good," The silver colored hero nodded, "Captain Atom out."

As the screen disappeared, Nightwing turned his attention back to Robin, "You were saying?"

Robin opened his mouth to speak, but the glow of the zeta tubes interrupted him as the computer's voice rang out.

"Recognized: Falcon: B-Zero-Four,"

Felicity Hall, better known as Falcon, strolled out of the zeta tube. A smile quickly spread across her face as her gaze landed on Nightwing and the two teens by him.

Silver's eyes lit up as she exclaimed, "Felicity!" The girl immediately launched herself at the blonde, arms latching around the taller girls waist.

Felicity chuckled, returning the embrace, "Clare!" She exclaimed, "Long time no see!" Silver smiled up as the duo stepped back.

"Felicity," Silver's head snapped to the side, watching as Nightwing strolled over to his friend, smile spread across his face.

Felicity smirked, walking towards him, "Hey Wing Nut," Silver giggled. Felicity was one of the few people who actually got away with teasing the raven haired leader.

Nightwing embraced the blonde as he asked, "How's Wally?"

"He's Wally," She chuckled, pulling back from the embrace. Her eyes flickered over to the new Boy Wonder as he approached the blonde, "Hey, Rob." She grinned.

"Hi Fal," He smiled back.

"Did I miss much?" Felicity asked, shifting her gaze to Nightwing.

Nightwing smiled at Robin and Silver, "Nothing really. These two helped take down Clayface a little while ago though,"

"Really?" Felicity smiled at the two, "I'm assuming they had better luck against him than we did?"

Nightwing laughed, "They did by far have better luck,"

MOUNT JUSTICE
January 4, 20:00 EST

"It's all hands on deck," Nightwing explained, pacing in front of the Team, "The League and the Team will hit all fourteen Krolotean zeta locations simultaneously. Your priorities are to destroy all zeta tubes or platforms and search for any humans the aliens may have abducted. As always, Mal is opps manager, coordinating comm from here," Nightwing stopped pacing, his gaze flickering over the crowd of heroes, silently deciding squads.

"Come on. Give me Alpha," Lagoon Boy whispered not so quietly to himself.

"Wonder Girl and I are Alpha," Nightwing declared, smiling at the young blonde.

"Yes!" Wonder Girl cheered. Silver smiled, happy for her friend. As much as Silver wanted to be on Alpha, she was still happy for her friend.

"Neptune's Beard!" Lagoon Boy cried, smacking himself in the forehead.

Nightwing continued on, ignoring Lagoon Boy's outburst, "Assignment: Philadelphia."

"Okay, okay," Lagoon Boy grumbled, giving himself a mini pep talk, "Give me Beta."

"Batgirl, Bumblebee," Nightwing pointed to the two heroes, "You two and Wolf will be Beta. Assignment: Vladivostok."

Silver sighed, shoulders slumping slightly. She was Gamma, aka the soft gig. She couldn't really complain though. After all, sometimes the soft gigs were nice.

That and Robin was also on Gamma.

Sparing said boy a glance, a smile spread across her face. Silver wouldn't admit it to anyone, but the red head harbored a huge crush on the Boy Wonder. It was one of her best kept secrets.

Well, sort of. Wonder Girl sort of persuaded the information out of Silver. And by persuade, Silver means threaten. Wonder Girl, though one of Silver's closet friends, threatened the usage of The Lasso of Truth on the girl unless she spilled who she looked. On the bright side though, Wonder Girl admitted her crush on Blue Beetle. That was a plus.

Thoughts returning back to reality, Silver flushed as she realized Robin had caught her staring. The Boy Wonder flashed the girl a smile, to which Silver felt her face flame up even more. Her gaze immediately left Robin, instead she chose to focus on her feet. Unbeknownst to the girl, Robin frowned as Silver averted her gaze,

Nightwing approached the four heroes who were left, "Robin, La'gaan, Beetle and Silver. You're Gamma," Silver nodded, her head, waiting for further instruction, "Prep the Bio-Ship. You're headed to New Orleans,"

"Gamma always gets the soft gigs," Lagoon Boy growled as he followed Blue and Silver towards the hangar.

"And that's so bad why?" Silver stared up at the Atlantean. Lagoon Boy's eyes flickered down to the red head as he glared at her, not bothering to give her a response. As Lagoon Boy and Blue Beetle disappeared down the hall, Silver paused. Frowning, she muttered under her breath, "Well then." She turned around to walk with Robin only to have the boy pass her, a disgruntled look on his face.

"Hey," Silver's hand shot out, curling around Robin's arm. Heat flared up the girl's cheeks as she felt the muscles tightened under her grip, "Are you okay?"

Robin glanced up, slightly startled seeing as he had somehow missed Silver, "Yea I'm fine," He shrugged, pulling his arm out of the girls grip.

"That doesn't sound like okay," Silver frowned as she watched Robin walk off. Stepping off, Silver quickly fell into step with the raven.

Robin sighed, glancing over at his companion before he admitted, "I'm squad leader."

"Congrats dude," A grin spread across Silver's face. It wasn't that often one was squad leader.

"Thanks," Robin half heartedly chuckled, a small smile forming. However, the smile was quickly replaced with a frown as his mind thought back to what Nightwing had said. Silver, noticing the sudden change in Robin's attitude, was about to comment on it but before she could, Robin snagged her hand. His fingers immediately intertwined with hers, causing the duo to look away as flushes spread across their cheeks. Robin was the first to regain his composure. Clearing his throat he said, "Come on, the rest of our squad is waiting for us." And with that said, Robin, fingers still intertwined with Silver's, pulled the girl after him and towards the hangar.

NEW ORLEANS
January 4, 21:59 CST

"A tool shed?" Lagoon Boy complained in disbelief from his position at the helm, "Barely enough room for one zeta in there," He growled, hanging his head back, "I knew we go the soft gig."

Blue turned to him, smiling, "And yet," Blue leaned back, crossing his arms behind his head, "I'm strangely okay with that,"

Silver turned towards Robin, wishing to know how the Boy Wonder felt. After all, this was his first mission as squad leader, "How abo-"

"Yes I am. Yes I am. Yes. I. Am!" Blue's voice interrupted the girl. Cocking her head to the side, Silver peered at her armor friend curiously.

Robin narrowed his eyes but chose to ignore his comrades outburst. Instead, his hand shot up, pressing the R logo on his chest, "Robin to Cave," A screen popped up, showing Mal's face, "We're in position."

"Acknowledged Gamma," Mal replied, "All Team squads and Justice League units are in place and ready. Go time."

Robin nodded before standing up, causing the rest of his squad to follow suit. The four teens walked towards the back, where the Bio-Ship had opened up, allowing the heroes to exit. As everyone jumped down, Silver, along with Blue, floated down gently to the ground. While the boys stood watch on some junk cars, Silver hovered behind them.

Robin studied the tool shed before glancing over at Blue. With a curt nod, Blue's hand shifted into a cannon. He aimed the weapon at the tool shed and opened fire. In a matter of seconds, the small tool shed was completely obliterated, debris falling to the ground everywhere.

Lagoon Boy growled before he jumped down, examining the wreckage. Out of annoyance, he kicked a toolbox before turning towards Blue, "Congratulations Blue," Lagoon Boy bit back a smirk, "You took out an actual tool shed."

Blue frowned as Silver crossed her arms, muttering, "Well that was pointless."

Robin eyed the wreckage, eyes narrowing. Something wasn't right. Pressing a finger to his ear, he spoke in the comm, "Gamma to Cave. There's no zeta tube here. No Kroloteans. No hidden entrance," Robin pulled up his holo-computer, studying the GPS.

"Watchtower sensors still read trace zeta radiation from the site," Mal replied, voice slightly confused. Silver glanced around, taking in her surroundings. There was literally nothing but junk around them.

"Confirmed," Robin reported, turning around as he located the GPS marker, "But the radiation signature is coming from… below the water line!" He looked down at Lagoon Boy, gesturing to the water, "You're up."

Lagoon Boy nodded before clambering up the junk cars. He swiftly made his way towards the water before he dove effortlessly in, hardly making a splash.

Silver watched as Lagoon Boy's figure disappeared in the murky depths. As the calm water sloshed, the red head subconsciously took a step back, running into Blue in the process. Said boy steadied the girl, glancing down at her curiously.

"Is everything okay, Silver?" Robin questioned, glancing at the girl with worry.

"Peachy," Silver sighed, facing the Boy Wonder. This was also one of her best kept secrets. Water was her greatest enemy. The two did not mix well. Why? Electricity, which is the basis of Silver's powers, does not exactly get along well with water.

Silver and the others stood around for a few minutes, during which Silver's eyes never left the water, until a signal from Lagoon Boy was received. Reaching into his utility belt, Robin pulled out two re-breathers. He attempted to pass one to the girl, which caused her to step back, shaking her head, "Uh uh. No way am I going for a swim."

Robin gave Silver a funny look, still extending the re-breather to her, "Come on, Silver. We need to destroy the platforms.

"Then I'm sure you can do it without me," Silver huffed, crossing her arms across her chest. The girl was dead set on not going for a swim.

"What's wrong hermana?" Blue asked, stepping towards his friend, confusion evident in his voice, "Afraid of a little water?"

"You could say that," Silver mumbled under her breath. Her silver eyes glanced up, catching the curios looks the two boys were giving her. With a sigh, Silver realized she only had one option, "I can't swim." She quietly murmured, eyes glued to her boots.

"You what?" Robin asked, head cocked to the side. He didn't quite catch what the girl had said, but from the tone of her voice, she was embarrassed about it.

Silver's head snapped up as she glared at her crush, "I can't swim! Happy now?" She snapped. Silver's gaze immediately returned to her boots as she attempted to hide the angry blush that painted her cheeks.

'Robin probably thinks I'm pathetic,' Silver mentally scolded herself, 'What kind of hero can't swim?'

Blue started to laugh, breaking the silence. Silver glanced up, glaring daggers at the boy. A small, silver ball of electricity began to form in her hands before she launched it. The ball hit him in the chest, causing the armored boy to stagger backwards, chest sparking, "Hey!" He glowered.

"Clare," Robin murmured stepping towards the girl, a small smile settling on his lips, "I can help you swim."

Silver sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. She looked over Robin's shoulder, staring blankly at nothing, "That's not the only thing." She muttered.

"Then what else is there?" Robin questioned, pulling off his cape.

"Water temporarily inhibits my-" Silver began to explain. However, before she could even complete her sentence, Silver felt the wind get knocked out of her as she fell over the edge. A shocked cry escaped the girl's lips as she went tumbling towards the water. Silver attempted to stop her free fall, but she was too shocked to do anything about it.

Silver crash landed in the water, body unable to distinguish up from down. Immediately she began to thrash about, trying to figure out how to escape the cool liquid. Silver began to feel dizzy, oxygen supply depleting as she floundered helplessly about. Just before the rest of her oxygen was used up, Silver felt a pair of arms wrap themselves under her arms, pulling her upwards.

The instant Silver's head broke the surface, coughs wracked her body as the water she inhaled was quickly expelled from her body. Silver gulped in as much oxygen as was humanly possible to replace the oxygen she had lost.

"You're okay Clare," A voice murmured in the girl's ear, "Just keeping kicking you legs. It'll help you float," Silver complied, legs beginning to move as she kicked. Almost immediately Silver noticed a small change. Her head was held higher above the water as she began to sort of float.

Noticing the arms still wrapped around her torso, Silver wiggled in the grip as she attempted to spin around. Realizing what she was trying to do, the arms loosened their hold, allowing the red head to face her savior.

It was Robin.

Heat crept up Silver's cheeks as she smiled at Robin, "Thanks."

"Any time," Robin said, returning the smile, "Here." He quickly pulled out a re-breather, passing it to the girl in his arms. Silver immediately snagged it, smiling her thanks again at the boy.

Wrapping her arms around Robin's neck, Silver glanced up at him, "I'm gonna go ahead and say you weren't the one that pushed me in, right?"

"Of course not," He chuckled. There was a splash in the water, causing Silver to glance over. As soon as her armored friend surfaced, the girl sent him a glare.

"I am so sorry hermana!" He apologized, swimming over to the duo.

Silver narrowed her eyes, increasing her glare, "What the hell Jamie!? I tell you I can't swim and you shove me in!?"

"It wasn't my fault!" He exclaimed, treading water beside Robin and Silver, "The Scarab thought you were being uncooperative and decided it'd be in our best interest for me to just push you in. I protested but well…" He trailed off, smiling apologetically at the red head.

Silver, still a bit irked, just rolled her eyes, muttering, "Whatever. We should find Lagoon Boy,"

"Sounds good," Robin agreed. Popping a re-breather in her mouth while Robin did the same, the duo dove under the water. Silver felt Robin's arm curl around her waist, helping the girl to swim, while Silver continuously kicked her legs much like Robin had told her to.

The group swam through a patch of seaweed to see Lagoon Boy waiting for them. He was floating in front of some kind of portal, of which kept opening and closing with the current.

With one arm still wrapped around Silver's waist, Robin pointed at Lagoon Boy. The Atlantean nodded before the markings on his skin glowed, signaling the usage of his Atlantean powers as his muscle mass increased.

Swimming forward, Lagoon Boy used his newfound strength to pry the door open so Silver and the others could easily swim in. Blue led the way as Robin, Silver in tow, followed him into a tunnel. Lagoon Boy let the portal shut as soon as he was in and quickly swam after his comrades.

The four teens followed the tunnel to the end. Upon resurfacing, they found themselves in a small grotto. Silver took a quick second to spit her re-breather out, while Robin did the same. The Boy Wonder snagged Silver's re-breather before he pocketed them both.

Silver's eyes widened as she examined the area. They sure hit the motherload. There were Kroloteans literally everywhere. Silver couldn't find a single area not littered with Kroloteans as the small aliens bustled about, busying themselves with whatever.

The hand on Silver's waist nudged her forward and towards the ledge. Silver swallowed before breaking contact with Robin and swimming the short distance towards the ledge, marking the first time she's swam by herself.

Hoisting herself up, Silver silently rolled onto the platform. She turned around and quickly helped pull Robin up as Blue and Lagoon Boy pulled themselves out. The group snuck over and ducked behind a stone block as Robin radioed the Cave.

"Gamma to Cave," Robin whispered as quietly as he could, "We've hit the mother load. Huge base, alien tech, multiple zeta uh- platforms and more Kroloteans than I can count."

"Acknowledged," Mal replied, "I'll send back-up. But until then, lay low,"

Just as the teens were about to do as told, a weird beeping, ringing sound began to resound around the room. Silver glanced around, silver eyes attempting to spot the source of the ringing.

"That may be a problema ese," Blue spoke up, pointing towards the Kroloteans. Silver peered above the hiding place to see what he was talking about. It was the four heroes, on a screen. Silver frowned. Apparently that weird ringing sound was some type of alarm.

Silver turned around, noting that the camera was behind the teens. Silver gasped as she took in the weird bug looking camera floating behind them. The girl made note of the ruckus they had caused as the Kroloteans began screeching at each other before they all swarmed towards the intruders.

Blue glared at Lagoon Boy, "Soft gig huh?"

"Probably jinxed it," Silver muttered, pushing her soaked hair out of her face. Lagoon Boy glared at the two as Robin jumped up, shouting out orders.

"Form up," Robin leapt forward, pulling out his bo-staff, "Blue you have our six."

Blue flew up, "Si hermano."

"Stay liquid minnows," Lagoon Boy smirked, charging into action. Silver resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Sure, the guy was an Atlantean, but did he have to insist on using sea puns every chance her got?

Silver rolled out of the way of a Krolotean, groaning to herself. The girl could just tell this was going to be a blast. At this point in time, the red head was next to useless. Silver was soaked, meaning her powers were offline. Unless the girl could get a jolt to jump start her powers somewhere, they weren't coming back any time soon.

Yea, Silver had hand to hand combat to rely on. But she wasn't the greatest at it.

Flipping backwards, Silver kicked a Krolotean in the face. The alien flew backwards, crash landing on top of a few other charging Kroloteans.

'Thank God these guys were small.' Silver thought to herself.

One Krolotean latched onto Silver's shoulder. Sharp claws sank into her flesh, causing the girl to cry out in pain. Silver's hands latched onto the Krolotean's shoulders before launching it over into a wall.

Silver groaned as blood slowly trickled down her shoulder. She poked at the wound, eliciting a small, pained hiss as her shoulder pain flared up her shoulder. On the bright side, it didn't look like it needed stitches.

Silver's attention snapped back to battle as an angry cry met her ears. Leaping up, Silver stuck her foot out. The Krolotean who launched itself at her made contact with the hero's foot. Silver watched as the alien fell to the ground, most likely unconscious. Silver eyes glanced back up as even more angry Kroloteans charged towards the girl but, before they could reach her, Robin intervened and swiftly took them out with his bo staff.

"Thanks," Silver smiled his way. He smiled back before he threw some flash bang bombs. The bombs exploded, disorienting the Kroloteans as Robin went in for the kill. Silver, in the meantime, allowed herself to be distracted as she watched Robin effortlessly take down Krolotean after Krolotean. Silver marveled at how swiftly and fluidly Robin moved during a battle, something of which Silver wished she could do. At this point in time, Silver was still a clunky, slow hand to hand combat fighter. She relied on her powers more than she should and so far, it turned out to be her downfall.

Silver's eyes widened as, during her not-so-subtle Robin watching, the end of Robin's bo staff ignited in sparks. An idea immediately formed in Silver's mind as she raced towards the boy, "Robin!" Silver called out, gaining said boy's attention, "Shock me!" Robin stared at the girl, confusion evident on his face. Silver rolled her eyes before explaining, "The sparks should be enough to jump start my powers!" Robin quickly nodded in understanding before doing just what Silver asked. The tip of his bo staff pressed against Silver's forearm before the sparks were ignited. Electricity coursed though Silver's veins as she felt her powers come back online, eyes changing from their typical blue to a power filled silver color.

"You good?" He asked Silver, swiping out as more Kroloteans charged his way. Silver merely nodded her head in response, racing off to join back in battle.

Silver launched a ball of electricity at some Kroloteans and they flew backwards, but more kept coming. There seemed to be a never ending supply of Kroloteans as more continued to race towards the heroes. Deciding she had had enough of the small aliens crawling all over her, Silver flew up into the air, where she could snipe the small creatures.

Creating another burst of electricity, Silver launched it at some Kroloteans heading towards Lagoon Boy. The creatures spasmed and jerked about as electricity shocked them before, after a few seconds, they fell to the ground unconscious. From her spot in the air, Silver cringed, silently hoping she didn't seriously injure the little guys.

Silver mentally cursed herself as electricity sparked around the creatures, causing them to jerk even in their unconscious state. With Silver's powers, she could never be too careful. If she wasn't careful, she could over charge a blast, which could be lethal to whomever it hits. Silver might've shocked her teammates, accidently of course, on numerous occasions. Not to mention the amount of times the girl has shocked herself.

"The really don't like you!" Lagoon Boy's voice broke Silver out of her thoughts, "I'm a little jealous!"

Silver glanced down, watching as the Kroloteans fled in fear, and it wasn't because of Lagoon Boy, Robin or her. Silver floated over to her comrade, who was watching the Kroloteans in shock.

"He said what?!" Blue suddenly exclaimed, slightly startling Silver.

"I said I'm jealous!" Lagoon Boy replied, throwing Kroloteans off of himself, "Don't rub it in!"

"Not you," Blue scoffed, pointing towards a Krolotean, "That jefe over there!"

Silver turned towards Blue, eyebrow quirked, "You can understand them? How?"

"I-I don't understand exactly," Blue admitted before pointing to the Krolotean in a sash, "Jefe over there is ordering the Kroloteans to zeta off world. He's setting this base to self-destruct in four minutes!"

A screen appeared above the apparent Krolotean boss. Silver glanced over at said screen, watching as weird symbols, which Silver assumed were Krolotean, began to tick.

"Then we're getting out," Robin commanded, swiping Kroloteans away as he stepped backwards towards the grotto, "Anything else I should know?"

"No se," Blue replied as him and Silver landed next to Robin, "He said something about sacrificing the play things below."

Silver scrunched my nose in confusion, "Play things?" Robin slapped his forehead and the red head looked at him, "Do you know what he means by 'play things'?"

"The abductees!" Robin exclaimed, sparing a glance at Silver. Silver's eyes widened. The abductees were now in more danger than they were before.

"Three minutes thirty ese," Blue demonstrated with his hands an explosion, "Then boom!"

"And Nightwing said no unnecessary risks to the squad," Robin furrowed his brow, trying to figure out what to do, "But this is necessary," He glanced up at his squad, "Below! We have to get below!"

The heroes looked frantically around, trying to find a way below, "Over there!" Silver exclaimed, pointing to tube that Kroloteans were flowing out of.

"Beetle on point," Robin gestured for Blue to fly, "Go!"

"Going!" Blue exclaimed, changing his arms into a plow.

He cleared a path for the group and they all ran, actually Silver flew, towards the tubes. Blue, being in the lead, knocked a Krolotean down as the four heroes surfaced below.

"Grab him!" Robin commanded, pointing the helpless Krolotean. Blue did as he was told, firmly holding the alien in his grip. The little guys struggled and wiggled to no avail in Blue's grasp.

"Hello?" A voice called out and Silver whipped her head around, "Is someone there?" Robin raced off towards the cage and Silver followed directly on his heels, "Please, get us out."

As soon as the two arrived at the cage, the people inside began to murmur and get excited, "It's Robin!" One voice cried out.

"The Boy Wonder!" Another voice added.

"And look!" A woman pointed at Silver, "Its Sparky! Black Lightning's protégé!"

Silver rolled my eyes, grumbling, "It's Silver."

"Oh thank heaven," A voice sighed. Suddenly the captives became restless and gasped, "More aliens!" Silver turned around as they cowered into each other, watching as the so called 'aliens' approached the cage, "Keep them away!" A woman screeched.

"Hey!" Blue protested, "We're not aliens!" He glanced at the captive Krolotean, "O-okay, well he is," He gestured to the Krolotean, "I'm not!"

"Get this open!" Robin commanded Lagoon Boy. He nodded before puffing up. Gripping the sides of the cage, Lagoon Boy ripped it open, growling at the same time, which probably scared the already scared captives even more.

As soon as the cage was open, the captives began to file out, "Thank you," A man stepped towards Lagoon Boy as he deflated, "We didn't mean-"

"It's fine," Lagoon Boy smiled, stepping forward, "I get that a lot chum."

Silver watched the exchange before facing Robin, "Is now when we get the hell out of here?" She questioned.

He nodded before turning towards Blue, "Ask him the fastest way out."

"Dude I don't speak the- Wait, you can?" He faced the Krolotean as Silver looked at him strangely, "Well what are you waiting for?"

"Blue's an… odd little fish isn't he?" Lagoon Boy walked up to Robin and Silver, face scrunched up in confusion.

Silver pursed her lips, mumbling, "It would seem that way."

Silver stared blankly at Blue as him and the Krolotean screeched back and forth at each other.

"Is it just me," Silver nudged Robin, "Or does this screeching hurt your ears as well?"

Robin chucked slightly, gaze glancing at the girl to his right, "My ears feel like they're bleeding." Silver flashed Robin a smile before turning her attention back to Blue, who had turned his attention towards his friends, still screeching.

"Hey chum," Lagoon Boy interrupted Blue, "Stop the screeching."

"Right, right," Blue shook his head, "This way! Come on!"

The group followed Blue as they all raced towards the nearest exit. Silver froze as their escape came into view. More water. From beside the girl, Robin passed her a re-breather as his arm, once again, wrapped securely around her waist. Silver had just barely managed to shove the re-breather in her mouth before Robin knocked the duo into the water.

Silver and Robin had just barely managed to make it out of the tunnel before the base exploded. Robin's grip on Silver's waist tightened as ripples crashed into the duo, causing swimming to become a tad bit more difficult.

Silver's head broke the surface, followed by Robin's, and with the hand not wrapped around Robin's neck, she pulled my re-breather out of her mouth. Glancing around at the surrounding water, Silver took note that all the abductees had made it out. As well as Blue, with the captive Krolotean. Lagoon Boy, however, Silver couldn't see. Not that she was really worried. He was, after all, an Atlantean. The guy basically lived in the water.

"Where's Lagoon Boy?" Robin questioned, eyes also sweeping over the surrounding water.

All of a sudden Lagoon Boy resurfaced, splashing the teens even more, "That's right!" He exclaimed, fist pumping the air, "Gamma squad rules!"

Silver rolled her eyes, giggling at the change in Lagoon Boy's attitude. One minute he's upset about being on Gamma, and the next he's beyond excited and proud. However, Silver did have to admit she felt the same.

From beside her, Robin let out a loud sigh, body physically relaxing. This mission, though taking an unexpected turn, went better than he anticipated. After all, nobody died.

Robin's eyes widened as he felt a pair of lips press to his cheek. Glancing over, he felt heat rise up his cheeks as he made eye contact with Silver, who was smiling fondly, a small blush obvious on her cheeks, "Thanks, Rob, for helping me."

"N-no problem Silver," Robin smiled at the girl. Silver's smile increased as the duo just floated there, sharing a small moment.

"Uh Rob," Blue's voice ruined the moment, causing Robin to turn towards him, "Hate to ruin your guys' moment, but," He pointed up and Robin and Silver turned their heads, taking in the site before them.

Silver's heart couldn't help but flutter as she watched the Justice League descend from the sky. Glancing behind, more League members floated into sight. Eventually, the rest of the Team, minus those who had headed to Ran, showed up on the Supercycle.

Glancing around, Silver caught her mentor's eye and smiled up at him. Black Lightning returned his protégés smile, even going as far as to give her a thumbs up, which caused Silver to giggle.

From the SuperCycle, Nightwing glanced down at the four teens, his face devoid of any emotion until he leaned forward, a smirk spreading on his face, "Dude!" He laughed, staring at Robin, "Way to get your feet wet!" Robin, in response, smiled up Nightwing, who was clearly proud of his little brother.

Silver smiled, this mission went better than expected, but if there was one thing that she wanted the most right now, it was to leave this water, "Hey uh," She glanced at Robin, "Any way we can leave the water. Like, now?" Robin laughed before he pulled out his grapple gun. Tightening his grip around the girl's waist, he shot it up at the Supercycle. It wrapped around something and Robin pulled us up. Silver buried her head into the boy's neck, hoping to gain a little warmth. The cool morning air hit Silver's wet body, causing the girl to shiver.

Climbing into the SuperCycle, Batgirl passed Robin and Silver towels as they plopped themselves down. Curling into herself, Silver hummed in content as warmth spread throughout her body. The soft towel rubbed against her tan skin as she dried herself off. However, the friction managed to build up a small charge which reacted with the girl's powers, shocking her.

Silver yelped, flinging the towel away from her.

"Uh… Silver?" She glanced over at Robin who was giving Silver a worried glance, "You okay?"

"Fine," Silver grumbled, arms wrapping around herself to trap in the warmth, "Stupid friction and sparks and shocking me and afjdkdfds," The girl began grumbling to herself, glaring at nothing in particular. However, she stopped when she remember that there were other people in the Supercycle as well.

Glancing up sheepishly, Silver was met with concerned looks from most of her company minus Nightwing, who had an amused look on his face. Burying her head in her hands, Silver groaned. At times, her powers could be considered a blessing, at other times, they were just a curse.

A/N: I'm reworking chapters. If you're knew to this story, you might notice the first chapter is in third person whereas the next few chapters are first person. I'm working on fixing that so all the chapters are in third person.

Anyways, tell me what you think of Silver, please! I like hearing your opinions. (If you see any POV mistakes where I missed some first person parts then just let me know!)

Oh and if anyone is curious about Silver's namesake, she's named for the color of her electricity much like Black Lightning is named for his!
