My name is Amatura. I am a Jedi Padawan. Trying to over come a battle I'm not sure I'll win.
A battle inside myself. One of the hardest a Jedi can fight.
Master Yoda's greatest words of wisdom, 'Forgive and forget you must.'
Who knows? Maybe one day I will forgive, but I will never forget. I will never forget the Blue Bounty Hunter Jango Fett.
My first encounter was when my father-Amutoris-was training. It was almost forbidden to have a Jedi have a family, but I was a special case. I was born when my father was discovered by the Jedi. Apparently I also had the force inside me. We were both taken away to the temple. I was four when I was taken in. My father quickly impressed the Council and he was a knight in no time. When I turned five I started my training with the other young Padawans.
It was decided that my father would be my master when I was finally old enough.
I was sitting in the meditation room with my father, copying his actions, trying to look like I knew what I was doing. I looked up as the door opened and a tall Nautolan walked in.
"Ki Fiso!" I squealed. I may have pronounced Kit Fisto's name wrong, but he understood that I was excited to see him.
He said a quiet 'Hello Youngling.' and walked into the room towards my father.
You could say that my father and Kit were friends. They often talked and trained together. And I followed him everywhere.
My excitement was cut short when a human Jedi walked in. Mace Windu. I swallowed.
For some reason, no matter how nice he seemed, we never got along, in all honestly he scared me. My father and I bowed to both of them in respect.
Mace Windu, one not to distract with small talk got right to the point. "Amutoris, the Council wishes to see you."
"Of course." My father had said and followed Master Windu out, leaving me and Kit. I smiled up at him and he smiled down at me. It was rare to see him smile back then.
I was surprised that Kit could stand me. When my father wasn't around-which was a lot-I followed him around asking question after question and spewing strange ideas. I must have waned his sanity at least once. But no matter the question, he always answered. Then if he didn't know the answer, he would take me to Master Yoda and we would both ask him the question. When I was training and my father wasn't around, I usually trained with Kit. I admit it, I was an annoying kid. But he interested me. He-unlike me-wasn't human, he could breath under water, and he was green. And unlike the other alien masters, he seemed nice to me. Mind you, most of the masters were nice to me.
I followed him to outside the Council door and watched him enter. I wasn't allowed to go in there so I decided to go to the Jedi Garden. It was quiet there and I was able to talk to several other Padawans my age as I waited for my father.
He came and found me some time later and told me that The Council wanted him to go on a trip and that he would be back as soon as possible.
I nodded, surprisingly fully aware that he actually may not come back. I followed him to his ship. He was to go with a Master name Qui-Gon-Jinn and his Padawan Obi wan Kenobi. I watched as the ship took off and waved to it, absolutely positive that my father could see me. I walked away and found Kit.
And I followed him until Mace Windu said that it was time for my training. I remember sticking my tongue out at him and Kit laughing, then I remember turning red when Master Windu turned around and caught me.
During my training, I wondered where my father was going and I wondered what he was going to do.
I never knew that he was going to make an enemy.
