Hi there, my dear reader! Today is my birthday, and to celebrate, I wrote a quick Yui x Kyouko story. For those of you who asked me to write something about them, there you go. I would have posted it sooner, but there were so many interruptions... -'
Disclaimer: Still don't own Yuru Yuri. It's Namori-sama's.

Kyouko opened the door of the amusement club, cheerfully making her way in. Chinatsu and Akari hadn't arrived yet, but Yui was there to make her company.
Well, she was present, but not making as much company as the blonde wanted. Kyouko greeted the girl only to receive something like a groan as a reply since Yui had her eyes glued on a book. The blonde was not satisfied with her friend's reaction. She expected way more, but really, just a simple 'hi' would have done it.
The girl chose a place in the kotatsu, not satisfied with her friends reaction. She sat by, impatiently waiting for the moment Yui would stop reading the book and give her some attention. How come it was just the two of them and Yui would be ignoring her? Was she being traded for a book?
Her patience had reached a limit as she rose from her seat. She was determined not to lose to a book, especially not today. It didn't take long for her to put her ideas in practice; she approached the black-haired girl and started to pet her head, also holding it against her chest. It was to no avail as the girl didn't move a single bit. She sighed, and switched to dancing in front of her; although she made some provocative movements, it also didn't work and Yui didn't blink a single time away from the pages.
The girl was beginning to run out of ideas, but she wouldn't give up that easily. She sat in front of the girl and prepared the best weird face she could muster, before calling for her.
"Hey, Yui, look"
Yui merely gazed at her before returning to read her book. Normally that would have worked and Kyouko would at least score a laugh from the brunette. This time she got no reactions, just a vague gaze.
Kyouko was about to lose her patience before another idea occurred to her; she needed to be a little bit more dramatic. But not your usual, lay out in the floor and begin crying out loud kind of dramatic. She needed something more, something that would definitely get a reaction from the black-haired girl.
"That could work!" The leader of the amusement club beamed, clenching her fist in excitement with her new idea. It was a bit tricky, but it was the last trick she could think of. Even if she would probably be going too far, she was determined to get her attention especially after getting ignored so much.
Kyouko sat in the table, her back facing the reading girl, before she laid down and arched her body outwards, throwing her face in between her friend's face and the book. Gravity made her hair cover the book pages successfully getting Yui to stop reading. She stared at her friend with her signature smile and two sky-blue orbs that reveled her malicious intents.
"What are you do-"
Kyouko went further and closed the gap between their lips. She succeeded in not only gaining the girl's attention, but as soon as she pulled away from the kiss she could see the huge blush in the dark-haired girl's face. The blonde smiled satisfied, before declaring.
"I'll be taking this as an apology for forgetting my birthday."
Yui widened her eyes even further. She couldn't believe she forgot her best friend's birthday. She lowered her head as she had to admit her fault, her blush not getting any better.
