Sammy's Nightmare
Dean sighed from his position on the chair. Bela was now probably dead, and Sam was stuck in a nightmare. He was tossing and turning.
Dean had only three weeks left, but he still had to protect his little brother.
When Sam woke up screaming, Dean bolted to the bed.
"What's wrong," Dean asked.
"He took out my eyes," Sam sobbed.
"Oh, Kiddo." Dean began rubbing his hand up and down Sam's back to calm him down.
"I want my eyes," Sam cried hysterically.
Dean stifled a laugh. "I know you do," he comforted.
"I don't want you to die," Sam wailed.
Dean closed his eyes for a brief second. "I know, Baby. But you may not have any choice if we don't find Lilith and the Colt."
"Don't leave me," sobbed the nearly twenty-five year old.
"I'm not leaving you tonight," Dean told him.
Sam continued to sob, so Dean starting singing one of Sam's favorite songs-Take it to the Limit-to calm him down.
Sam's sobs began to die down as Dean sang to him. John and Sam had always had their love for Eagles in common.
Dean could remember John singing every Eagles song he knew to an unborn Sam. Mary had laughed, but it had always seemed to calm the unborn baby down.
Whenever Sammy had nightmares when he was younger, and John wasn't on a hunt, their father had sung an Eagles song to the little boy.
Dean had done it when John wasn't home. Sam had grown up loving the Eagles. His favorite song was a tie between In The City, Lyin' Eyes, and Take It To The Limit. The only Eagles song that Sam loathed was Life In The Fastlane.
"You'll be okay," Dean comforted as he finished the song and Sam fell asleep.
Things wouldn't be okay in three weeks, but they were okay for now. That's all Dean could ask for with his little brother.
The End
I was originally going to do a missing scene where Dean comforts a traumatized Sam before they strap the doctor to the table, but I couldn't thing of anything. I then decided to do a tag instead. Please review. I hoped everyone liked this.
