So sorry I haven't written much in a while. But Ada's lyric challenge thingy has given me some inspiration, so I have a couple of drabbles I plan on writing as I procrastinate studying for midterms. B-T-W Ada, you're a genius for the idea of this challenge :D

Number Sixteen: "I'm not going to write you a love song."
Word Count: 512

"Jase, write me a love song," she pouted.

"What? Why?" Jason asked, tilting his head to the side.

"Because Nate wrote a love song for Caitlyn and Shane wrote one for Mitchie. Why won't you write one for me?"

"Because I don't really write music. I just play." He strummed his guitar again for effect.

"So. Learn. I want a love song. Now."

Jason frowned at the demanding tone in his girlfriend's voice.

"No. I don't wanna." He sounded like a kid, but he didn't care. That's how she sounded with her silly demands.

"You suck, Boyfriend." She stuck her tongue out at him then continued to just lay on his bed.

Jason just shrugged as he went back to strumming together some chords on his guitar.

"Jase?" she said after a while.

"Mhmm?"

"Do you love me?"

Jason put his guitar down and sat down on the bed next to her head. He looked straight into her eyes as he replied, "Of course I do."

"Then why won't you write me a love song?" she whined.

"Why don't you write me a love song?" Jason replied back.

"Because I'm not a super hot rock star who can spin around in circles while playing the guitar," she retorted.

"So. Learn. Now," he repeated her words.

She wrinkled her nose before breaking out into a smile. He smiled back, and they laid there in peace, her head in his lap as he caressed her hair.

"Jason, I have something to tell you," she said, getting up. Jason's brows furrowed in confusion, but he nodded for her to continue. She stood up in front of him and took a deep breath before continuing.

"Baby, you're my best friend, my boyfriend too, I wrote this little song, to say I loooovvvveee you," she sang, horribly off key to whatever horrendous melody was playing in her head.

After holding the finaly note for a few seconds, she doubled over in a fit of giggles, causing Jason to start laughing too.

Once their laughter subsided, Jason held his arms open for her. She came obediently and sat on his lap. It was as if their bodies were molded to fit perfectly together.

"There, I wrote you a love song," she said, smiling as she gave Jason a quick kiss on the lips.

"A very bad love song," Jason corrected.

"But a love song nevertheless," she pointed out.

She smiled as she rested her head against his, his arms wrapped around her waist protectively. If she could, she'd choose to stay in that moment in time forever.

"Jase?" she whispered, as to not ruin the mood.

"Yeah, babe?"

"I'll be expecting my song by Valentine's Day."

Short, sweet, and pretty pointless. I was in the mood for a light drabble. Others may be more angsty as that's actually what I prefer to write. But I hope you enjoy!

Oh! And I get to tag two people? I tag... VALE! And KANA! :) Enjoy gals, can't wait to see what you come up with :)
