It was a quite and beautiful evening. The sun was about to set and it gave that beautiful, cool and calming glow. The soft breeze blew, though it wasn't cold. The only sound that could be heard for miles were sounds of birds and the other animals around, and the steps of two people walking down the road.
"umm Nat I'm tired, can't we take a break now" complained a certain brunette.
"Tsk I told you to stop calling me that already polka and stop complaining" came an irritated reply from the guy beside our brunette. the mood around the two was very comfortable even though they seem to always tease and irritate each other.
Mikan pouted and said, "Not if you keep calling me polka, Naaaattt" she dragged it out purposefully to irritate him, but even this did not spoil the comfortable aura they had.
They had known each other since they were 11 years old and now they were 16 and 17 years old. Natsume,-Nats real name- being 17 now was still the same as when they were little. Always looking bored, irritated and never really smiled to anyone but Mikan -polkas real name. Mikan hadn't changed really much either other than the fact that she was much more nicer, understanding and considerate of Natsume since they started dating.
They had been dating since they were 13 years old. Now they were almost like and old married couple, always fighting yet still cared deeply for each other.
Mikan had decided it was a great evening to take a walk and had dragged Natsume along with her.
"Ahhhh over there Nat there's a park we can rest there" Mikan said overjoyed at the fact that she would get to rest. She ran over to the park and sat on one of the swings, and started swinging while shouting out Natsume's name asking him to walk faster. The park was empty as Natsume walked calmly with his hands in his pocket towards his girlfriend. He knew very well that she was childish and innocent but that was just why he fell in love with her.
When he finally got there he sat in the swing beside Mikan, and closed his eyes and welcomed the calmness and peace of the evening. He opened his eyes when Mikan said, "Beautiful evening isn't it Nat". He decided to ignore the fact that she called him Nat. Besides she was the only allowed to call him that.
"hmmm" was his reply, he wasn't much of a talker and Mikan undetsood this very well. It really was true the saying that opposites attract, As Mikan was such a talker. He watched Mikan swing as the wind blew through her hair, that was much longer now than it was back when they were younger. But it was still in the twin tails she had them in. He had always wondered how it would be if she let it down. The more he stared the more he wanted to let it down, after a while he couldn't resist. He stood up and walked up to her as she stopped swinging an looked at him.
"What's wrong Nat" she asked concerned. He just walked closer and reached for her hair and took out the robber bands she was holding them with. Mikan just looked surprisingly at he finally took them out he fixed her by pushing it behind ear and letting the breeze blow through. They were both blushing really much now.
"It... It looks good like this" Natsume finally said with a soft smile, a smile only Mikan owned. Mikan blushed at what he said and answerd
"Ummm thanks" almost in a whisper. As she looked up she saw his face coming closer and soon his lips were on hers.
It was definitely a beautiful evening. The sun setting beautifully, as the breeze blowing softly, the evening soft and quiet, only birds being heard and a wonderful kiss being shared.
