-The Calm After The Storm-
Disclaimer- I don't own Harry Potter. (Wish I did! But I don't) -Hitomi Kalagari
"Ginny...Ginny..."
A voice. A voice was calling to her. Calling to her out of the darkness. Was it an angel? She was dead, wasn't she? The voice sounded familiar to her; like it had come from a misty childhood memory.
"Ginny...Ginny..."
The voice was coming closer to her, or was she coming closer to it? It sounded more familiar to her now. She knew this person, she knew him well. How Ginny knew it was a he she didn't know. She just knew.
"Ginny...Ginny..."
Harry! It was Harry! She wanted to cry out to him, tell him she was here, tell him... anything! But she didn't know it she could speak to him if she was dead. Then a rush of panic overcame her. Was Harry was dead too?
"Harry?"
"Yeah?"
"Are you dead?" Ginny asked tentatively, not sure if she wanted to hear the answer. To her surprise Harry chuckled a little. She could almost imagine him smiling at her.
"No, I'm not dead." A wave of relief washed over her. He was alive!
"Am I dead?" Again came the chuckle, and this time Ginny could imagine a smile creeping onto Harry's face.
"No, you're not dead either. You're just as alive as I am."
"But, Vol...Voldemort? And the Horecruex? Is he dead?" Ginny marveled at her daring. she had said He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named name aloud.
"You were the Horecruex Ginny..." Harry kept on speaking but Ginny didn't hear the end of his sentence. She was the Horecruex. Harry would have to kill her, never mind that they had kissed, never mind that they had been going out. He, Harry was going to have to kill her.
A silent tear fought it's way out from under her still closed eyelids, and wound it's way down her cheek. Harry must have noticed because her reached out and wiped the tear away.
"Didn't you hear me Ginny? You're not the Horecruex any more. Voldemort's soul is gone from you; he's dead. I...I killed him." Ginny's eyes shot open now. Bending over her was Harry with concern for her in his green eyes. She was in her own from and in her own bed. Safe.
"So it's over?"
"Yeah, it's over." Then, Harry leaned down to her and pressed his lips against hers in a sweet kiss. When they broke apart Ginny had tears in her eyes. But they weren't tears of fear or sadness. They were tears of joy. It was over and she felt completely safe in the calm after the storm.
