It all started with the strange weather. Tatyanna sat under a tree, curled up with a good book, when she got a strange feeling that something was about to happen. Sitting tensely for several minutes, she tried to search for the source of her unease, finding nothing she turned back to her book. It was a very warm day for the middle of December, but she brought her cloak just in case. Using the cloak as a blanket she dozed off for a few minutes, waking up to find herself in total darkness.
"Shit, I should have been home two hours ago," she muttered, gathering her things. As Tatyanna grabbed her cell phone she noticed the battery had died on her, "well there goes not getting yelled at."
Tatyanna started to walk home when suddenly the sky lit up with lightning, curious she looked up to a cloudless sky. This is strange she thought. Other than a few more bolts of lightning she made it home with no problems, the strange thing was there was no one else on the streets. It couldn't have been much past seven thirty, where is everyone?
When she got home there was a note on the refrigerator "Went out with Claire -Mom," sighing to herself she searched the fridge for something to eat. As she pulled out the chicken from last night she decided to call Wendy and see if she wanted to come over. Just as she reached for the phone it started to ring thinking of the irony of it she answered the phone.
"Hello?"
"Tatyanna?"
"Yes"
"Its David. Have you heard from Wendy?"
"Oh hey David. Nice timing as usual. No I was just about to call her. Why?"
"I've tried calling her and texting her and she's not answering anything."
"What did you do this time?" she asked teasingly.
"Tatyanna I'm not joking right now, she's not answering anyone. Evan tried calling her too and she wouldn't answer his calls either."
"Ok that's not good, why don't you meet me here and we'll go see if she's home"
"Ok, bye"
"See you in a bit."
Ok something is going on if Evan isn't getting a response, neither of us ignores Evan no matter what, Evan was a guy Tatyanna had known for years and he was like a brother to her and Wendy, and he was the kind of person that you couldn't ignore even if you wanted to. A few minutes later David showed up at Tatyanna's house, and they left for Wendy's house. When they got there they talked to Wendy's mom, she said she hadn't seen Wendy since that morning. Getting slightly frantic Tatyanna headed for Evan's house. Meanwhile David tried to calm her down, with little effect. When they got to Evan's house he answered the door quickly.
"Did you find her?" he asked.
"No, do you know where she might have gone?" Tatyanna asked.
"Well I don't know, you know she's not the type to just go running off, but why wouldn't she answer us? I'm starting to get worried a little bit." Evan said.
They tried to think of where she might have run off to. Coming to no easy conclusion they set out to search for her.
