Thank you for the reviews I've gotten so far! I seriously appreciate the positive and negative feedback! I'm taking requests for oneshots between any characters (two or more) from Soul Eater, Chobits, Ouran High School, Tsubasa (Reservoir Chronicles), and Hetalia! Please, just send me a message, and I'll write! Don't worry about whether your request contains yuri or yaoi, I write those too!
This goes out to the people who have written reviews, thank you so much! (I'm totally over-using exclamation marks, but whatever.)
Germany walked into his office. His eyes dragged over to his office chair, that unspeakable place where he had been forced to sit for hours attending to business. Even the promise of a sunny day, and a football date with Italy, couldn't take his mind off of his upcoming speech at the next world conference.
Plopping down into the supple leather, Germany absentmindedly ran his fingertips over the desk's smooth surface, noting how the grain of the wood flowed. Letting his sleepy lids droop momentarily, his gaze dropped, and his eyes widened as he caught sight of a piece of paper on his desk.
Filled with curiosity, as he knew this paper was not one he had seen before, he delicately picked it up. It read:
Dear Germany,
I know we're apart right now, but I just wanted to let you know that I miss you. Who would've thought I would be lonely back home! Even all of this pasta doesn't taste as good without you around. Listen, maybe you could meet me here, before the world conference? I'd love to spend some time with you before we head over.
Anyways, Romano's doing fine, though he's grumpy about the meeting as well. I told him he should just opt out, but he says it's important that he should go. I hope that, if you come, you can maybe convince him to stay home, I think he hasn't fully recovered from that cold.
Since it's been a little while, how are you? I heard you recently were in a bit of economic trouble, so I worry. You always tell me not to, but I just can't stop! I'm pleased to hear you're steady again, though. My economy isn't so hot, either, but I know I'll be fine.
About what's happened lately: I haven't done too much. I went out in the country for a little fresh air, but returned to Venice because that's where Romano is staying. Japan came over for a visit, too, and while that was nice, it felt strange not to have you there too.
So, I guess I should stop here, you're probably writing your speech, like you always do! Would've called, but I think I would be too sad if I heard your voice, I miss you so much!
Hope to see you soon,
Love Italy.
Germany let a tear flow down his cheek.
Italy. His best friend. Of course he missed the pasta-loving country as much as Italy said he missed him. Germany was now determined to finish his speech quickly. He had missed having the peppy voice chatter at him throughout the day, had missed the smell of good food wafting from his auburn hair.
Yes, he would go see Italy. Soon.
