The funeral happened on a Monday. The event was over by 6:30 p.m. Quite a way to start the week.

"Twilight please" Rarity pleaded, "We need your help. I know it may be difficult but all of Equestria fears for their lives. We need knowledge." Rarity paused, wondering if she should mention it. "It's the sun Twilight, we're worried..." and then quieter, "maybe some sort of invention..." Rarity paused again. "Fine" she said, miffed. She made her way back to Fluttershys house.

Twilight sighed and turned around, looking at the brown cardboard boxes that were now packed with the contents of the library. "There's nothing I can do" she mumbled, quiet and resigned, "even with all the knowledge here..."

Twilight looked over at Spikes bed and started to tear up. Spike had left a total of three days earlier, something about a dragon city? She wasn't paying much attention. Of course she missed her friend, but she couldn't have stopped him.

"So what the hay are we gonna do now?" Applejack questioned Rarity.

"There's really nothing we can do is there?" she responded.

"Well I say we head over to Canterlot and find somepony else with a library, Rainbow Dash butt in.

"Well well, miss loyalty, already abandoning our dear friend Twilight? I am surprised" Rarity responded acidly.

"Don't talk to me like that!"

"I will address you how I please"

"Girls!" Applejack shouted. "This is no time for bickering. I know everypony is on edge right now but that's no excuse for fighting each other."

"Yeah I know" replied Rainbow, then a silence.

"Well... maybe she has a point. I mean, it's not like Twilight's talent was knowledge... or anything. There must be someone who's is, right?" Fluttershy peeped out.

"Yeah, you have a point there sugarcube" Applejack responded, "but I must say that was a little unexpected of you"

"Well it's kind of a serious situation" she replied, a little stronger than usual, "although I'm not sure what to do with my animals"

"I'm sure Zucora would love to get out of that forest, especially with the sun problems and everything. Maybe she could take care of them" responded Rainbow.

"Well then it's settled, everyone get their things packed and everything prepared. We'll leave tomorrow at nightfall." Rarity declared.

"But what about..." Rainbow said quietly, then, "Pinkie, are you coming with?" Pinkie shook her head from her same spot in the corner. "Well... okay."

There was an announcement sent throughout Equestria via flyers, delivered by flying pegasi. A funeral was to be occuring. Everypony was invited.

It began with the body being mourned over for a full 3 days, then the funeral itself began. There was a few more hours of mourning, a 30 mile long parade, then the placeing of the casket she had been in. It was laid inside an ornate mosoleum built underneath a large flowering tree.

Everypony went. There were many white roses, carried or worn. They were fashioned into things like hats and hooflets. All along the way the white flowers were dropped. They remained on the ground for nearly a week until the pegasi team was sent through to blow the flowers away.

So then, the funeral was over. The princess had been buried, the mosoleum engraved with the words 'The sun has set once more, never to rise again.'

So was the farewell of the great Celestia.

"Is everypony ready?" Rainbow Dash asked, much quieter than her normal speaking voice.

"Yes" muttered Fluttershy.

"Yeah" Applejack replied.

"Probably, I just can't help but think that we're missing something..." Rarity pondered.
