Prologue
There is a stone. A beautiful stone… No one can touch it except the chosen one. No one has touched the stone yet. It lies somewhere, untouchable. It cannot rot or decay or dissolve into the Earth. It is a powerful amethyst-colored stone. Kayvyn, the evil wizard, wants it and has sent every henchman to get the stone but has had no luck. He has decided to hunt down the chosen one himself...
Chapter 1
It was fall and you could tell. There were red, yellow and brown leaves scattered everywhere, or they were fluttering to the ground like feathers. The trees were half bare. A young boy sat on a rock staring out over a pond.
He could tell it was fall by the water. He stared at it and it stared back. The he thought he heard the water whisper his name.
Gethowyn…
The boy blinked. He shrugged and discarded his hallucination. He was hungry and guessed that was why he imagined that. He wondered what he'd steal today.
Gethowyn whistled for his black stallion, Marzus. He climbed on top and squeezed Marzus's sides.
As they reached the town of Gazou, they realized it seemed like it was winter rather then fall. The air grew chilly and the trees were completely bare. Even the small stream that ran through the small village gave Gethowyn a chill.
Gethowyn made a mental note to steal some winter tunics.
He got off of Marzus, tied him up to a post and wandered around the shops.
A crusty old man was selling some hunting knives and couldn't resist stealing a long slanted dagger.
