Chapter One: Annoying New Girl?

A girl stared into a lake of water it shimmered brilliantly as the stars circled on. Someone walked up," Riley? What are you doing here at this time of night? You know its dangerous." The girl winced at Riley, and Riley got up. "Its fine Charlotte. Its not like something's gonna pop out and eat us." She chuckled. Charlotte rolled her eyes," You've seen how people in this town act! Its like their hiding something." Charlotte felt a shiver go down her spine. " You worry to much, try not to think about it."Riley smiled. Charlotte put out her hand. " Come on before some one sees us." Red eyes gleamed out of a large oak tree at Charlotte heading home with Riley behind.

When they reached the house their bags were sitting on the couch. "These bags not going to unpack them selves." Sighed Charlotte, Riley already unpacking her things and carrying them to the room. She turned to see a shadowy figure in the window, it was writing something but when she blinked it was gone. Charlotte turned around and continued unpacking. They both slept until in the bunk beds. In the morning, Riley sat up," Im going in town you want a snack?" she asked. " Yeah, anything I guess." Charlotte smiled and turned to brush her golden hair.

Riley headed out the door and on to the street. She walked about a block then headed into a little shack full of soda and snack machines. She payed for root beer, chips and cookies. The machine didn't spill the things into the box so Riley started banging on the machine," Give me my root beer!" She growled. A Dark haired boy stared in at her. "Annoying human." And he moved on. The stuff came out of the machine and she skipped happily back to the house carrying the stuff.
