It was almost midnight at Camp-Half Blood, all of the cabin were asleep. Cabin six was silent, the children of Athena usually were. Most of them slept like babies, the younger ones more so, they hadn't been through the same wars the rest had, and none had been the the same horrible experiences as Annabeth Chase.
Annabeth's blonde hair fanned out behind her like a halo on her pillow. her peaceful state didn't last, her once still eyelids began to flutter violently, and her steady breaths became pants, raging and rough, like she was running. She tossed and turned, her night terror turning more in to the unwanted memory then just a nightmare.
The child of the wisdom goddess suddenly sat bolt upright in bed and screamed, the sound vibrated over the entire camp, her siblings gathered around her, but she wouldn't talk to them, she just kept mumbling words over and over. Annabeth just sat there, tears streaming down her face, her chin rested on her knees, her arms wrapped around them as she rocked back and forth.
Finally, one of her siblings went and got Chiron, the centaur trotted into the room, everyone walking out of his way. Once he reached her bedside, Chiron grabbed Annabeth's hand, rubbing his thumb across her knuckles.
"Annabeth, could you tell me what happened?" His voice did little to calm her. The blondes breathing hitched in her throat, memories flashing through her mind. She shook her head.
"Then will you go back to sleep?" She shook her head again, there were dreams that she didn't want to re-see.
After twenty minuets, Piper, who had been trying to calm Annabeth down, had an idea. The child of Aphrodite ran to cabin three, she knocked on the door only to find a frantic looking Percy Jackson, trying to tie his converse.
"Percy, Anna-" she started.
"I know, Piper, I know. I'm going." and he was, the boy sprinted to cabin six.
The crowd in the cabin was partially dispersed, when the son of Poseidon pushed his way through the remanding people, he step right in front of Chiron, wrapping his arms around Annabeth's shaking form.
"Wise Girl, shhhh, calm down, shhhh" he stroked her hair, planting small kisses on her brow, "I'm here Wise Girl, I love you, shhh." he continued to whisper sweet words against her skin.
He moved her, so the pair were lying on Annabeths' bed, their heads sharing a pillow.. The rest of the Athena cabin looked to Chiron, before turning to each other.
As Annabeths sobs and whimpers died down, the children of Athena shared a simple thought.
No matter how scared Annabeth is, Percy will always be there to calm her and make her feel safe.
He will always be there to love her.
So i've had this on my computer for about six months,
