"Right, now we'll be staying overnight, so if you need anything—"
"I know, Momma," Abraxas said, smiling. "I'll be fine."
"Come on, Rachel," Santana said. "He's got orientation to go to."
"Bye, bro," Ares said, flipping his hair out of his face.
"Later. Don't get into any trouble."
"Never," Ares said with a grin.
Allie and Ava both hugged him at the same time.
"Can we have your room?" Ava asked.
"What? No! What would I do when I come home to visit?"
"There's always the couch," the girls said in unison.
"That's creepy. And no. Alright…I have to go."
"So do we," Santana said. "Have a good time. Work hard."
Quinn led the way back to the car. She had a countdown going. It took about fifteen minutes, but then she heard it. The sniffling.
"Santana?"
"I'm fine."
Quinn faced the road again, smiling. Three…two…one….
There was a sob from the back. Glancing in the mirror, she saw it was Ares. "Called it," she mumbled. "It'll be okay, guys. We'll see him at Thanksgiving."
