Author's Note: I do NOT own the Zelda franchise. Soooo yeah. That's it. This story takes place after Spirit Tracks so I can explain canonically how there is technology. Also, excuse spelling errors. That's all I wanted to say, and enjoy the story.

Long ago, an old voice says, there was a man with your name, Link. At the time, the princess's body had been taken from her, so Link, being the kind-hearted- AAHHH!

Silence.

Link wakes up and looks to the picture of her grandmother at the right of her bed, remembering how much she missed her.

"Link!" she hears her mother call. "Breakfast is ready!"

"Okay, coming!" Link answers, running down the wooden stairs and into the small kitchen in her house.

"I made your favorite today, chocolate chip waffles with deku tree syrup!"

"Thanks, Mom," Link says in a glum tone.

"What's the matter, honey?" her mom asks. "It's your birthday!"

"It's just that last year, it was overshadowed by the stupid Choosing of the Hero Ceremony or whatever it's called," Link responds while starting to eat.

"That doesn't mean they'll have it this ye-"

"THEY WILL HAVE IT THIS YEAR! HAVE YOU NOT SEEN THE POSTERS?"

"Oh..." her mother responds, starting to back away. "Well, enjoy your waffles, I guess..."

Link stops eating and cries.
