Chapter One

The three CSIs stood, shocked and overwhelmed, before the heaps of metal, fire, and debris that lay before them.

"Ooh." Exhaled Sara.

"Whoa." Exclaimed Morgan.

"You can't even tell it was a plane." Greg said.

"That's what it was?" Morgan asked with shock.

Sara cleared her throat and cocked her head to her right. She brought her camera to her face as she tried to count the number of bodies that lay buried beneath the wreckage.

"Judging from the amount of blood and…" She winced. "…body parts, there's got to be at least 20 fatalities here." She said, snapping away.

"We have six deceased." Brass, who had appeared out of nowhere, said.

"This all came from six people?" Morgan asked, horrified.

"2 pilots, 1 flight attendant, 3 passengers." Brass affirmed.

"Private plane." Greg deduced.

"Business. It's an independently owned Bombardier Learjet 45 XR. Most expensive light business jet on the market."

"I read about this plane in Forbes!" Sara exclaimed. "Worth over 11 million."

Brass nodded. "Which means I have a lot rich, sadistic ass to kiss. Better get started." With a wave of the hand, the badged man turned and walked back to his car.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Greg asked staring at the swamp of unidentifiable plane and body parts.

"How could this all have come from six people?" Morgan guessed, still hung up on the previous comment.

Sara interjected. "That we need way more man power."

"Yeah." Greg agreed.
