Author's Note: The song "Stealing My Breath" is the inspiration behind this series of 10 sentence drabbles and it just felt like a song that fit Laurel & Oliver.

Scapegoat
She tried to think that she was to blame for her sister's death, citing it off as her scapegoat, but Oliver told her that it wasn't her fault. But yet she still longed to escape all the tragedies or near tragedies that had happened to her, even ignoring her mom when Dinah wanted to reconcile a second time with Quentin.

Crunch
The gravel beneath her feet made an annoying sound as she quietly made her way to the villain that she hoped to snag, but it gave her away as the villain turned and Laurel shot them in the shoulder with one of her arrows.

Time
"I don't have time for this!" Laurel yelled over her shoulder at her father when he tried to interfere with her going out at night alone. She'd been more than capable of taking care of herself, and had since she was 18 years old.

Illusion
"You...you're not real. Leave me alone!" She began whimpering and backing away from the masked man in front of her that continued to advance toward her.

Farce
Laughter escaped her as she watched the television program in front of her. Inside, however, her lungs were burning with sadness, remorse and regret.

Cuddle
He ignored her protesting as he gathered her close, snuggling with her as he took a deep breath in. "Please don't do this," she whispered. "Please don't ever leave me again."

Kismet
What was it about their love that made it seem like fate had managed to keep them intertwined forever? Was it kismet that they were soul mates? Laurel didn't know all the answers as she stood at the docks where they'd last said goodbye before his "death".

Genuine
"I'm not sure how we got here, but it won't matter, will it?" Her tone was soft as she spoke, unable to let him go.

"No," he replied. His tone sounded genuine, as if he meant what he said. And Laurel knew that he did.

Alive
She had never felt more alive than she did in his arms, and when she let her hand caress his cheek the first time that she saw him, it was all that she could do to refrain form slapping him.

*Kneel
Tears fell down his cheeks as he knelt down in front of her, holding her close as he wept quietly against the material of his shirt. He hadn't been able to cry this much over losing his parents, but with her, he never had to hold his emotions back.
