Author's Note: I do not own Hetalia. All and any OC's you may or may not encountered within the depths of this fanfiction are owned by my friends because I came up with the genius idea of giving them a chance to be in this fanfiction. I swear however, that none of them will be Mary/Gary-sues because I'm basing this off them in real life and my friends are pretty screwed up. I am writing this with my classmate however and he might do some tweaks to his OC. I am keeping an eye on that.

To tell the truth, none of the other nations were really surprised when the first part had happened. America's economy had been failing for years now and many countries could tell that it was time for another nation to step up as the new superpower. But England never seemed to acknowledge that, whether he was simply too busy keeping Sealand in check or he wanted to deny that his brother was slowly falling apart.

It happened one day as England was relaxing in his kitchen with a cup of tea, the television droning on in the background. Sipping the last drop, he stood up to place it in the sink, when the doorbell rung and he turned around, setting the saucer and cup down. Stepping through the hallway, he swung to door open, fully expecting to see Sealand there with another foolish plan on how he was going to become a real nation.

To his surprise, it was America instead, leaning on the doorframe. Upon seeing the British nation, he flashed a weak smile and straightened himself. "Hey, England, what's up?"America asked and England raised an eyebrow at him.

"What's up? America, you're the one knocking at my door. I should be asking that question."He responded before fully taking in America's appearance. The other country seemed the same but something was off. He stared at him for a full minute before noticing somehow that the confidence that usually shined from him seemed weaker.

"Yo, Artie! You okay? Is there something on my face or what?"America questioned, snapping him out of his trance.

"Uh, yeah. What are you doing here anyways?"He demanded a second before America's cell phone started ringing. Flashing the British nation another wavering smile, America stepped away, pulling out his IPhone. Lifting an eyebrow as he noticed that America was talking in a quiet and rushed voice, something very unlike of him. Leaning closer he caught some of the words such as 'pull back', 'just raise', and 'I'm trying!'

Hanging up the phone, America stayed quiet for sometime before opening his mouth to speak, his eyes downcast. "China pulled back. He pulled out completely."He stated, running a hand through his dark golden hair.

"What do you mean? He stopped trading with you?"England asked.

"No...we're still trading. He just stopped loaning me money. The situation got so bad that my boss went to desperate measures and sold one of our oil giants to him, attempting to pull us out of this hellhole."America replied, his breath hitching slightly.

"Haven't you tried negotiating with him?"England questioned, not realizing that was a ridiculous question to ask at the time.

"Of course I have! For god's sake, England, I've tried everything but he still won't budge. That guy, watch out for him. Ever since he strengthened his relationships with Japan, his air quality is improving. Which means that he'll probably kill you before lung cancer kills him."The other nation answered and left England in the dust as he continued on to talk about how maybe if his boss hadn't bombed Japan in World War Two that there might be a chance that Japan would be shipping their technology to him.

"God, you confuse me, America. Come inside and I'll see if I can make sense of what you're rambling about."England stated, rubbing his forehead slightly.
