Okay, this is a pairing I haven't seen before, so I thought I'd give it a try. HanaxItachi! Umm...yeah, here ya go! Wrote while listening to 'I Will' by Sowelu.
I DO NOT OWN NARUTO OR ANY OF ITS CHARACTERS! That right belongs to Kishimoto Masashi-sensei.

The fierce looking young woman traced her fingers over the lines on the young man's face, wanting to kiss him goodbye for the last time. Instead, she kept that same stoic, strong face, as did he, and the both said their 'Good-byes'. She stared wistfully as he bounded off, supposedly never to return again.
Their relationship was never meant to be, she deduced. A single tear welled up on the side of her eye, and she bit her tongue in a desperate attempt to hide it away. This seemed to work, and she walked back towards the Inuzuka compound, jumped the fence, and sprinted back to her house. She swore to herself, that night, that she would never let a man make her cry. And she stuck with that vow for many years to come.
Four years passed. She had been accepted as a full-time member of the Konoha Veteranary Medical Corps. Her brother had become a Genin, and had almost become a chuunin. That had been before the invasion of Sound and Sand. But now, at least, she thought she could rest assured that Konoha was safe for a while. They had driven Orochimaru back into Otogakure, and Suna had discovered the clever ruse that Orochimaru had been using to control them. The towns could have some peace, for now.
Or so she thought.
To this day, Hana remembers nothing more clearly than that beautiful April morning. She had been taking the family's dogs for a walk (all God-knows-how-many of them), when something had caught her eye. With her enchanced vision, she saw, out of the corner of her eye, a tall figure clad in red-and-black, standing near the edge of the Konoha border. She stopped in her path and, hidden in the shade of a large oak tree, watched the person's fluid movements as he reached up to remove his the grass hat that was shielding his face and head.
At that moment, she wasn't sure what was real and what was fantasy. Her mindknew nothing, but her instinct told her what she needed to know. It's him.
She dropped the leashes that had been restraining her canine companions, and ran, her hair fluttering in the wind, towards the familiar man with long black hair. The man had barely a split-second to react as the young woman flung her arms around him in a warm embrace. He stumbled, in surprise, "H-Hana? Is that you?"
She smiled, tears forming at the side of her eyes as the sunlight reflected off them. "Itachi-san...I've missed you so much!" she stuttered, still trying to keep from breaking her vow of four years. He hugged her back, slightly, before muttering something in her ear.
"Inuzuka-san...I've missed you too..." he said, closing his eyes as she leaned onto his shoulder.
He could feel the warm prickle of his lover's tears as she buried her head into his chest. He made her break her promise.
She'd broken her promise, but she'd never been happier in all her life, for she was once again in the arms of the man she loved.
And that was enough.
Okay, I'm not completely satisfied with the ending, but it was either that or a. Itachi tells Hana 'Go away' or something like that, or b. its skips ahead 3 years or so and Itachi dies.
I wasn't in the mood to make this all angsty or to have my favourite character die, so I decided on this ending. HanaTachi luv!
I hope you liked it!
