Introduction

It's Times Like These

A smirk crossed rose lips when the slim silver haired man rolled over and snuggled closer to the warm, wet chest he found with a content purr. Genesis wove his fingers into that spectacular mane of beautiful tresses and held him closer.

In the rare moments of silence the pair had in their unhealthily relationship, Genesis liked to reflect on how they met, back when he was fresh in Midgar; back when he and Angeal were one of many hopefuls in the line to join SOLDIER.

Back then of course, Sephiroth was only a rising star but still the pride and joy of Shin Ra, and Genesis' own hero.

The redhead and his best friend stood side by side against the cold metal of the wall, occasionally like the others there, they slipped a quick glance at the lithe, slender teenager as he walked along the cadets making his initial impressions. He was about to walk straight past the auburn haired youngster when he caught those amazingly vivid aquamarine eyes. He stopped, turned and smiled. They exchanged names briefly then Sephiroth continued on.

Inside, Genesis was brimming with excitement although, at that stage, he would never have thought that only five weeks later, he'd been in Sephiroth's private apartment with the teen himself trapped against the wall, breathing heavily as Genesis descended, covering his soft naked skin with butterfly kisses and sharp nips of vicious teeth.

As he ran his hand down the curve of his lover's smooth back his mind twisted, to how his admiration had slowly morphed into some hatred that he harboured only second to his lust. He found it hard to understand why Sephiroth had fallen so heavily for him.

Sure, he was the strongest, the fastest and the smartest out of all the other cadets, as well as the most aesthetic, but there always seemed to be something more that the General saw in him… it confused the redhead to no end, leaving him awake at night when he should have been sleeping of the high of his ecstasy, holding his lover close as if he was trying to mould them together – to see inside his mind.

To think like him.

To be like him.

No, Genesis promised himself he would be something so much better…

It was an unhealthy, dangerous relationship and Sephiroth didn't have a clue.

Smirking one last time Genesis unravelled himself from the maze of arms and legs he'd been caught in and left his 'lover' (if he used the term so loosely) alone and cold, searching for him in his dreams.
