The Embarrasing Fear

It was a beautiful summer morning in the Mushroom Kingdom, the sun was shining (and not the angry sun from SMB3), and everyone was happy. Luigi had just woke up and was still in his pajamas, making pancakes for him and Daisy. The plumber looked at the calendar and he immediately went from cheerful to terrified. It was 4th of July. Why was he scared? Because he had a terrible fear of fireworks. "Holy shroom," said Luigi quietly, speaking to noone in particular.

Just then, Daisy came in the room, happy, but tired, still in her pajamas as well. "Good morning sweetie," greeted Daisy in that cheery voice she was known for. "Good morning honey," replied Luigi also in a cheery voice, but a hint of fear could be found in his voice. The flower princess knew something was wrong. "What's wrong Luigi?" asked Daisy, concerned. "You should be happy because today is a special day." "I'm fine Daisy, just a little tired," replied Luigi, half-lying. He didn't want to admit to Daisy about his fear, but he was still tired.

"No, I know something else is wrong," answered Daisy, in a serious tone. "You can tell me anything." Just then, the pancakes were ready. "Oh, would you look at that!" Luigi said, surprised, and happy. They ate their pancakes, and when they were done, Luigi had hoped Daisy had forgotten about that short unfinished conversation they had. "So, Luigi, tell me what's wrong," started Daisy. 'Just my luck' thought the green plumber. "Well... uh..-" Luigi started, but was cut off by his phone ringing. "Sorry Daisy, gotta take this" said Luigi. It was Mario.

"Hey bro," greeted Luigi.

"Hey Luigi, I need you to come to Yoshi's Island," replied Mario.

"Why?"

"Yoshi is depressed, and I don't know how to cheer him up."

"Okay, let me get dressed and I'll be there." Luigi hung up.

"I'm sorry Daisy, I gotta get dressed and go." Luigi told Daisy.

"Where are you going?"asked Daisy concerned. "Yoshi's Island. I'll be back in a few hours." Luigi replied. "Ok, bye sweetie," Daisy said. "Bye," Luigi said as he kissed her on the cheek.

While Luigi was gone Daisy went to get dressed. She put her dress on, even though she hated wearing it, today was a special day. She went in the living room to watch tv. 2 hours later, Luigi came home. It is now 1 o' clock. They were leaving to see the fireworks at 8.

"So, what happened?" Daisy asked. "Yoshi was depressed and I cheered him up," answered Luigi.

Later at 7:50

"Come on Luigi, we're gonna be late!" Daisy yelled. "Coming!" Luigi yelled back, coming down the stairs. They went into the kart in the driveway (Wild Wing), and took off. Luigi was quite nervous. 'How am I going to tell Daisy?' Luigi thought. "Daisy, there's something I need to tell you," started Luigi. "What is it?" Daisy asked. "I'm... scared of... fireworks," replied Luigi nervously. Daisy stared at him for a second before bursting out laughing. "I knew this would be your reaction," said Luigi upset, and just above a whisper. "Oh, Luigi, I'm sorry, did I hurt your feelings?" Daisy asked after she stopped laughing. Luigi shook his head. "No, I'm fine. I knew you would laugh. I'm pathetic." Luigi answered. "Luigi, don't say that about yourself," Daisy replied. "You're a courageous, handsome hero, and you always will be, and I'll be here to comfort you." "Thanks Daisy," Luigi thanked Daisy, cheering up.

Meanwhile at the place where you watch fireworks and stuff

'Oh, great, front row seats.' Luigi thought. Luigi was scared everytime a firework went boom, but Daisy was there holding him close. They shared a few hugs and kisses, until finally it was time to go home. "My neck hurts from looking up," Luigi commented. They chuckled, went home, and went to sleep.

THE END.
