Sorry this is so short, I have to use my dad's computer 'cause mine's broken.
Anyway, don't be too mean in reviews. This is one of those what if? stories. Sooo... yeah! enjoy!
"We'll never be able to sneak up on them," Percy said.
We were standing in the cavarn that led to the forge of Heaphaestus. we were on a quest to try and find Daedalus, so we had to do Heaphaestus a faver first. He had asked us to see who was in his forge. Grover and Tyson had split up with us to try and search for Pan. Percy and I were left to follow through. I looked around and immediatly decided something. Being a daughter of Athena can do that to you. Then i picked up the stupid metal spider, gingerly, and slipped it into my pocket.
"I can. wait here."
"Hold it!" Percy protested. But before I could listen to his whining, I yanked on my Yankees hat and dissappered from his view. Then, I crept around the outer rim of the hot, bubbling lava floor. I stopped for a minute, trying to catch my breath. I was sweating already. My eyes stung from the smoke. Then I heard voices up ahead.
"Bring it in?" The first one asked.
"Yeah," The other answered. "Movie's just about done."
I turned to face the voices. My eyes watered, so all I could see were dark blobs. The only thing I could distinguish was a cart. It had a tarp covering the , I saw a bit of movement in the cart. What could've made that move? I thought about it for a second. Percy! That Seaweed Brain never listens to me! He must've done it.
"Oi," a different voice said. At this, i crouched. " This thing weighs a ton."
"It's celestial bronze" the other said. "What did you expect?"
Then I heard the sound of wheels turning as the went away. I didn't have to be a daughter of Athena to know that all hope was gone.
