Came up with this at 3 in the morning when I couldn't sleep. I personally love Dr. Horrible, it is amazing so I hope I did well portraying him.

The sun was out, it looked promising to be a beautiful day. The sky was exceptionally blue and crisp, and the birds were chirping merrily. The wind was soft as it caressed the world as gently as a lover. The grass was beyond green, it took on a completely new color, so deep, that it could have been used with royalty.

Sirens pierced the tranquility, as fast as a gun, black smoke billowed into the air, blocking out the once beautiful array of hues. People were shouting and running frantically, like little ants, out of the building. Clothing and ashes were flying everywhere, being swept up into the commotion, as if in a hurricane. Police had just arrived on the scene, and were shepherding everyone to the side. Across the street, stood a man with a bemused expression on his face, clearly he wasn't concerned with the fact that the building was burning down.

He stood out, naturally, considering the lab coat he was adorning. He was surprised no one had noticed him, thus far, but they were all just a little pre-occupied at the moment. The fire trucks which had come speeding to a halt, were now busy as well. He couldn't figure out why, it was just a little building, nothing big. Flames licked the sides, engulfing it almost entirely, in a dance of red, yellow, and oranges. True this was the third fire this week, and he could tell that it was causing alot of panic.

Honestly it wasn't like he was going to burn down the whole town, just a few insignificant buildings, that was all. He figured if he wouldn't miss them then no one would, right? First he started with that blasted frozen yogurt shop, no one would care about that, besides frozen yogurt is just wrong. Then he took out care of that stupid homeless shelter. No one cared about Captain Hammers achievements, so he was just getting rid of all the reminders, as like a public service right?

And today it was the overpriced and terribly decorated laundry place. Of course none of this happened to do with places that might just be associated with penny. No he was Dr. Horrible, and a simple death like hers, wouldn't effect him, especially since he killed her. He was just changing the city, because he wanted to, didn't matter he was going to take over the world anyways.

The fire was almost out now, he had to give credit to these firemen though, they did do their job efficiently. The building was black now, which made him smile, oh how he loved it! Black was such a good color!

Turning around he quietly walked away from the scene, if only penny could see him now. He was definitely living up to his reputation. The evil league of evil was very pleased with new inventions, and he was quickly rising towards the top. He often wondered if penny would like him better now? Maybe?

Pulling his goggles down, and placed them over his eyes. So many things left to do! He had one more mission to accomplish, before he would take a break for a while. This one would be his biggest challenge yet, but it would be worth it in the end.

Oh yes, he would show bad horse once again, but in a different way. He was going to take them down, he would see to that, and then he would be ruler over everything. Just what he wanted right?

Or maybe he just wanted something else, subconsciously. Could it be revenge? Retribution? No he wanted something more terrible and sinister then he ever thought he'd ever stoop too. What he really wanted for Penny's death was...

...Justice.
