I caught an early premier showing of the Sea of Monsters! And the best part, I was the only one who knew it was happening tonight so I had a whole theater to myself! It was awesome! Yeah, they changed some stuff but they made it work and the special effects were incredible! I loved what they did to Rainbow, hence a little story about him. I highly doubt this is what he was thinking but I'm still hopped on caffeine and sugar so please indulge me. Without further ado; Horse Sense!
I am swimming as fast as I can towards a boat full of demigods who wouldn't hesitate to kill me. Why am I doing this? That is a very good question. I'm asking myself that over and over again as I swim a little faster.
I answered a call from Lord Poseidon to aid his sons and this is what I find? A Cyclops and two flirty half-bloods?! They look like they're ready to start making out on my back! This is not a love boat! This isn't even a boat! There will be no face sucking on my back, thank you very much! I've already had to buck twice before they stopped focusing on each other and more on hanging on to the finest hippocampi in Lord Poseidon's herd. That is just my humble opinion though. I am the fastest and strongest in my stable. I wonder if I can get a bronze plate made with that on it. Lord Poseidon's Greatest Creation.
Oh great, they're talking again. I bet it's about clothes or music or…the end of the world?! Just who the Hades am I carrying?! I'd buck them off right now if I hadn't agreed to carry them all the way to the boat. Curse my generous nature! Oh wait, they're still talking. The son of Poseidon has self-esteem issues. Wonderful. I think I liked it better when they wouldn't stop flirting with each other. At least then, they were quiet and not scarring me for life.
Maybe I should just let them swim. He's the son of Poseidon. He can do it himself and then I could return to my kelp bed and forget all about titans and cursed blades and…he's supposed to die? In three years? And he's still fighting? Why? Why fight your destiny? Well, he either very brave or very dumb. And the daughter of Athena just called him an idiot. Well, there's your answer. And now she called him brave. Kid, you're sending the poor boy mixed signals. He's a guy. You have to keep it simple if you want to get through all that kelp in his head.
Maybe these kids aren't so bad. They're brave enough to keep fighting even though there fate is sealed. And they seem to stick together and watch each other's backs like a true herd. I'm finally up to the boat. Time to circle around back and let my cargo off. They're talking some more. The son of Poseidon has a plan. They're doomed.
Wait. What that in the cyclops's hand? Sugar? Whoa, sugar rush! I love these kids! They're the best things since nectar! If they ever need a handsome sea creature to give them a lift, I'm there hippocampi! Lord Poseidon, sign me up!
