This is going to be a new story, i am currently now writing 4 so i will not be able to update this one everyday thought i will try. Well i don't own any of the characters and i hope you like The glass dagger.
The crash and clatter of stones falling to the ground rang in flashes ears as he struck the stone wall with his pick.
The smell of stone dust and sickness spread threw the air like a hive of bees after a threat.
Coughs sounded all down the tunnel as other slaves keeled over, eventually everyone fell to the dust.
It was a miracle he hadn't yet he thought as he struck another blow to the rocks.
Death camp, thats where he was, there was only one way out of a death camp and that is dying, they all died eventually.
All they did was dig grave holes, huge troughs in the ground they filled with the dead and buried.
Chips and sparks flew from the grey stone and smacked into flashes face, a small droplet of blood trickled down his face, only another reminder that he had been caught.
He had been the most famous and deadly assassin of his time, he had been trained personally by the leader of the assassins guild.
He could name the prices from his clients, now all he could do was wait to die.
The heavy footfalls of a guard interrupted flashes thoughts as they drew nearer.
Flash gripped his pickaxe harder, his knuckles turned white, a thin layer of dust coated his starved body.
Before this his skin would shine with a orange tint, his eyes sparkle like sapphires, and his hair bluer than the sky.
Now all of it was dull, his skin now looked grey, his eyes still sparkled but with anger and the lust for revenge, his hair thick with grime and dirt now looked like a rats nest.
The guard shoved some of the slaves but they always stayed clear of flash, maybe it was because he had killed 5 of them on the first day?
Flash cried out and fell to his knees as his wings flared with pain, they had been wrapped in a iron band the first day.
They did that to all with wings, the wish to fly again filled him up, oh why did he have to be caught.
Flash sighed, why did he waste his breath anymore, a sudden thunder of multiple boots broke the now empty silence.
I looked up from my painful sorrow and saw before me a entire battalion of guards.
One of them removed there helmet exposing, a women?
The women held her posture with the form of a seasoned warrior, her hair fell behind her in a rainbow of colors.
Her skin was stained a light blue and her eyes pink.
"Flash sentry?" she asked, her voice offered no way to worm any kind of leverage a man could use against a women.
Flash nodded slowly figuring all escape routes.
"Come with me" the soldier ordered sending a silent order to the others.
They nodded quick and thundered over, th grabbed a chain linked to his iron cuffs and started walking.
The women lead the way, they passed cells and more tunnels, all the while flash thought of ways to kill them all.
I could disarm these two with two quick punches, thought it will be difficult with these irons-.
His thoughts were cut off as they abruptly stepped threw a door and into sunlight.
His pupils became dts so fast that he almost cried out in pain, quickly he blinked away the black spots that swarmed his vision.
Another group of guards stood in the clearing, high stone walls rose around them.
In the middle of the guards something made him breathe in quick.
A women in a violet gown stood there, a crown sat upon her head, she had her back to him but he knew that whoever she was she was one of immense power.
Flash straightened just as the women turned.
Her eyes were empty violet holes sucking in all the men's hearts that had saw her, flash kept his under tight iron restraints, love distracted those who had things to do.
Her hair flowed down her shoulders in waves of dark purple streaks, a light pink line started from the top of her head and down her hair.
At first flash thought it a ribbon but then he realized that it was part of her hair, a pink streak in a wave of dark hair, how odd.
The rest of the women was just as heart stealing as her eyes, the gown fit tightly around her flash never found interests in things other men thought of so he ignored the rest of her.
"Captain Dash, thank you for bringing him" the lady nodded her thanks before returning her attention to flash.
"Unbind his hands and wings" she ordered, the men looked at him skeptical as they did as ordered.
The cuffs fell revealing torn and blistered skin, his wings once free sprang loose and shot straight up.
Pain flared in his now free limbs but he put that aside and folded his wings to his back.
Flash studied her closer, he then realized there was something small sticking out of her forehead, her hair covered it so he couldn't tell what it was.
"Flash sentry of come to make you a offer" she started now finished examining him.
Flash remained quite.
"My offer is this, come and fight to become my champion and i will allow you free after five years of service" she finished.
"3 years" flash said, his voice came out ruff.
"4" the lady replied, "i would think you would want your freedom, i expect you don't want to just rot here?"
Flash thought of this and nodded "i will serve for 4 years" the lady nodded, "may i know who i'm fighting for?"
"A princess" was all she replied, her purple skin flashed in the sun as she turned and walked away leaving flash with a bunch of aggitted guards.
"Take him to get cleaned and bring him hear in 1 hour!" captain dash ordered, her wings flared, so we have another winged around.
Flash was gruffly shoved towards a building across the clearing, the door aged and rusted swung open with a creak.
3 servants stood ready, flash gulped seeing the grey water that sat in a large metal bucket.
The servants rubbed his back raw, they paid no heed to the lashings on his back.
When he came out he was dressed in all black, his leather tunic glittered slightly in the sun, his orange skin seemed to glow in the sunlight as his hair blew slightly in the wind.
Irons were clamped to his boots and he was lead towards the princess and her personal group of guards.
Twilight looked him over once and nodded her thanks to the camps guard before dismissing.
"We leave immediately" the princess ordered swinging herself onto a chestnut mare, she also had wings, they were folded to her back exposed to the sun, did they all have wings?
Flash was given a black stallion which he spread his wings and shot onto, the guards all had their hands on there weapons.
Flash smirked at them and looked forward, the princess chuckled.
"You might need these" she called holding up two long handles, flashes eyes widened at the sight of them, his knives.
The princess tossed them over her head and flash caught them in a instant, just as he touched them cold steel pressed against his throat.
"Your highness what are you doing arming him!" dash asked, it was her sword that was at his throat.
"We can't trust him"
"I trust him" the princess responded meeting flashes gaze, her violet eyes seemed to twinkle ever so slightly.
Flash clipped his daggers, knives, they were both, he clipped them to his belt.
Captain dash lead the squardring of soldiers and 1 royal, plus 1 assassin, straight towards rodvork.
Hours passed, mile after mile, finally they stopped for dinner.
Flash had his irons removed from his boots and was told to sit on a damp log, the forest was quite, so quite.
A small amount of meat, potatoes, and water were brought to him and captain dash sat down next to him.
They all ate in silence until one of the soldiers started swearing.
"Gods dam that forest is just to quite! I can't wait until the princess of the sun burns it down!"
Many of the soldiers cheered in agreement, how dare they, the forest was a reminder of what magic had been like before it was destroyed, the only magic left was the magic the sun and moon princesses allowed.
Flash groaned softly and laid down, the moss cool and soft beneath him cushioned his head as he started to drift off, who was this third princess? Was the only thing that entered his mind before he fell into a dreamless sleep.
